Phile Magazine is a biannual publication which investigates sexual subcultures, both obscure and well known, from a sociological point of view.
Issue One will feature 130 pages of cerebral content and thought provoking imagery. Our contributors range in ethnic background as well as gender and sexual identities. It contains articles, interviews, photo essays and creative writing which explores how those who resist normative societal structures create space to express their truest desires.
The publication combines elements of an academic journal, an art book and an erotic magazine. With Phile, we aim to encourage a more empathetic understanding towards people and communities who live outside of normative or binary structures.
Issue One will be printed and hand-bound in Kaunas, Lithuania using a Swiss binding technique. The magazine is 9" X 12", printed on high-quality, uncoated paper stock. The magazine will be printed and bound in an edition of 1000 copies to be sold across North America and Europe.
By pre-ordering and supporting the production of Issue One, we will offer you a 25% discount off the final product and ensure that you will be among the first to receive it.
Thank you for your interest in and support of Phile Magazine. Issue One will have its physical launch in summer 2017. Stay curious.
