WE DID IT! In just under 27 hours we hit our goal. And we are completely blown away. But this is just the beginning. $10,000 was the minimum amount of money needed for us to be able to purchase our fabric and pay for a small production run. We're setting our sights a little higher with a STRETCH GOAL OF $30,000. With additional funding, we'll be able to accomplish so much more:
- Create a webstore on our website and stock it with inventory.
- Begin patterning and sampling our next few styles, which will include a 100% organic cotton turtleneck and a cropped trouser.
- Rent a small studio space so that we have more room to design and to stock our goods.
- Introduce a new colorway to the current offerings. See below!
Why is it that so many women have closets overflowing with clothes, but don’t want to wear any of it?
Why are the well-made basics always t-shirts?
Why is it so much easier for men to get dressed?
Why aren’t there simple, yet elegant garments that are purposefully made with the most environmentally-sound fabrics available and in the most ethical way possible?
It is possible. We know we can do it.
Our mission is to create the clothing that makes you feel beautiful and like yourself. To create the clothing that will become a part of your daily uniform. We aim to simplify life to allow for more enjoyment of the little things; and to help shift the fashion industry in the process.
My story begins behind-the-scenes. For the past three years, I’ve been working as a fit model in New York City. While I work alongside incredibly talented designers, much of what I’ve seen during fittings has heightened my understanding of how harmful clothing production can be. Things weren't always this way. With the rise of fast fashion, the industry has morphed into a disposable, wasteful and harmful place.
As I became more aware of these issues and began searching for more consciously-made clothing, I wasn’t able to find options that matched my personal aesthetic. I wanted elevated, minimalist garments that had clean lines and could be worn anywhere — a weekend trip, a meeting, a dinner, even a wedding. But what I found was that ‘sustainable’, ‘eco-friendly’ or ‘ethical’ either consisted of organic cotton t-shirts or came with a luxury price tag. I was envious of my male friends, who seemed to effortlessly find high quality, beautiful essentials that were neither trend driven nor too expensive.
With Eenvoud, we’re creating the minimalist and sustainably conscious womenswear that we couldn’t find on the market.

Why We Need Your Help
If fully funded, the money raised will allow us to purchase our fabrics and pay our factory for our first production run. Our factory is located right here in Brooklyn at Pratt’s new fashion design space, The Brooklyn Fashion Designer Accelerator. Located just a few blocks away and with a focus on sustainable and ethical fashion design, The BF+DA is the ideal place for us to produce our garments.
Our patterns and samples are already made and our factory is ready and waiting, but we need your help in order to hit the GO button. We need a minimum of $10,000 to be able to pay for our fabrics and for our first production run.
THE FABRICS - We’ve spent the past year sourcing the most beautiful and sustainably-made fabrics that we could find. The best part? All of them are machine washable.
Cupro - Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fiber derived from cotton linter - the ultra-fine, silky fibers that stick to the seeds of a cotton plant after it’s been ginned. Similar in weight and feel to washed silk, but with the breathability, body temperature regulation and durability of cotton. Hypoallergenic, anti-static and resistant to stretching out of shape. Dyed with non-toxic, fiber reactive dyes. Origin: Japan.
Hemp / Peace Silk Charmeuse - Hemp is extremely durable, fast-growing, soil-replenishing, drought tolerant and requires little to no pesticides. It's about as sustainable a fiber as you can get. Unlike conventional silk, peace silk is silk harvested after the silkworm has left its cocoon, allowing the worm to live out a full lifecycle. Combined, these two fabrics create a beautiful, textured and structured charmeuse. Dyed with non-toxic, fiber reactive dyes. Hemp origin: small family co-op farms in China. Peace silk origin: China.
Deadstock Mesh - The mesh we use is deadstock fabric, meaning that its leftover fabric from mills and garment factories that would typically be thrown into landfills. This particular mesh was made in The USA.
SIZING - Our designs are intended to be a little bit ‘roomy’. If you prefer a more fitted look, please consider choosing one size smaller. NOTE: Once we're funded, you'll be able to select your garment sizes. We'll also send along a size chart for you to reference.
THE PACKAGING - We focus on environmental and ethical responsibility in every choice that we make. Our packaging comes from Eco Enclose and is 100% recycled from trash, fully recyclable and naturally biodegradable.
