THE FINAL STRETCH!!!!!
We are now in the final stretch of our Kickstarter Campaign. We only have THREE MORE DAYS to make our goal of $20,000. With the incredible support of 270 backers, we have made it to $15,472. I am floored. This is the most money we have ever raised from individual donations for anything, ever.
But as you know, if we don’t make it to $20,000, we don’t get ANY of the pledges that our backers have made, and that just can’t happen!
I am so humbled and amazed to have the support of so many wonderful people from all over the world. It heartens me because I believe in bringing my work to the people. Along with my extraordinary team, we have worked very hard to get the work in front of as many different eyes in as many places as possible. I have been extraordinarily privileged to bring my work to almost every corner of the globe. In my travels I have met so many incredible people who want to have their world honored, challenged, rocked, and expanded.
This is what I believe the new MGPP piece – And lose the name of action – will do. This piece has taken me on an incredible personal and artistic journey over the past three years. It has been an honor to pour so much energy into such an incredible project, and now we’re almost finished with making it. But we can only finish with your support! Now that we’re almost at the end of our campaign, we really need your support to help us reach our goal so that we can make this the best piece possible!
ANY AMOUNT OF SUPPORT WILL HELP. We have pledges that range from $1 to $750. And it really only takes just a minute of your time! If you have been waiting to make your donation, NOW IS THE TIME! And if you have already given to our campaign, please consider increasing your pledge amount. And everyone can help by spreading the word and sharing the campaign with anyone you think might be interested.
I am including a short rehearsal video from our new piece here of a duet between Ishmael Houston-Jones and me. I love this video not only because I'm dancing with one of my favorite dancers and performers EVER, but because it shows everyone in the piece working on material for the piece. It gives you a little insight into the magical world I have been lucky to be a part of while making this show. Enjoy!
Thank you for taking the time to check this out and I hope you have a wonderful week.
