got it, Matt. Thanks so much for the email. so excited to drive my players mad in my current homebrew world mythhos infused low fantasy horror d&d...send them to the asylum and then perhaps a version of ravenloft. mu ha ha ha aa
I just realized this is a public update and anyone can get to the book. Stay tuned for a quick update, that is for PDF backers only, with a new link.
I'm too excited.
@jorah - you have mail!
@jester - thank you!!
@everyone - backerkit has been updated and the book is out!
It's a been a long road but I've got to say, thanks for sticking this through. The art in the book looks amazing and I can't wait to carve out some time to read though the whole book.
@Jorah Kai: I may need to email you directly again. My PC just crashed so it’ll be tonight probably but I’ll get it to you ASAP.
I'm so excited to read and play this book , huge congrats to Matt and co! However, I'm getting a "failed - bad certificate" error when I try to download...hmm.
@richard - first off my heart literally sank before I scrolled down. Thank you, the artists did an amazing job, and I'm very happy with what we were all able to do with that art. Do you have favorite piece(s)?
And I just started reading through Chronicles of Darkness again thanks to Chris Spivey. I would love that and agree completely. I will definitely be reaching out to them about the IP.
I must complain!!!
Absolutely NO WHERE in the campaign details did you properly express how amazing some of this artwork is! Evocative, Atmospheric, Haunting, and Jaw-Dropping are words that barely scratch the surface of describing some of this art.
This, I daresay is an insult to us all - as recompense, you must create several playlists containing appropriate ambient music for each location listed in the book; Items, Locations, History, Persons of Interest and a Soundtrack for each adventure listed! that will be, by my count a total of 10 separate playlists each to contain no less than 10 tracks each, and lasting a minimum of 30 minutes each.
For your next campaign, (and hopefully, you will be able to collaborate with this artist again), PLEASE consider White Wolf's World of Darkness, or the Chronicles of Darkness from Onyx Path Publishing. I feel your work would be a good fit for either of these settings. There are demos available for free for several of their game lines. I personally feel that Chronicles of Darkness may be a better choice, as they have one rule-set that branches into 10 - 12 other game-lines. And your work appears to be well-suited for either game setting.
This is (so far) a fantastic book, and I look forward to your future endeavors!
