Every year on the summer solstice the Fae arrive in the kingdom to take part in the festivities of the holiday. While the citizens celebrate the warmth and light of the season, a dark cloud of uncertainty creates a heavy tension within the palace. With the struggle for the throne still raging on, how much influence will the Fairy people have over who takes the crown?
Your favorite anime princesses have returned in this new stand-alone expansion, Heart of Crown: Fairy Garden. Fairy Garden is the first set of this new block for the Heart of Crown Series. It introduces 30 new card types into the market, beautiful new artwork, and impish new abilities from the fairy realm. You can play Fairy Garden by itself or combine it with any of your other favorite Heart of Crown sets, including the Heart of Crown base game!
In Heart of Crown: Fairy Garden, you take the role of a powerful politician whose aim it is to promote your chosen princess to the throne. All players begin with a humble collection of land and a few clumsy maids. Using the tax revenue from your lands, you will purchase new cards from the markets that will aid you in your quest to sponsor your princess’ ascension.
Don't forget to keep a keen eye on your opponents, as they seek to seat their own heir on the throne. To gain the upper hand in the race for ascension, you must collect Succession points. The first player to collect twenty Succession points can announce their coronation ceremony. If the ceremony goes unchallenged for a whole round, you can declare yourself the true heir and winner!
Heart of Crown: Fairy Garden includes all of the Succession, Territory (including the additional Farming Villages needed for the new Common Cards), Curse and Princess cards needed to play as well as 150 new Common Cards (30 types). Fairy Garden introduces new military and political tactics as well as some magic and mystery from the fairy realm, including the rarest of sightings, the Fairy Queen Elerune. In addition to these new cards, Fairy Garden comes with 35 New Counters as well as all of the standard Counters.
This is the kingdom you call home. Unlike most deck builders, in Heart of Crown: Fairy Garden you have both a basic and a random market. The random market is where the citizens of the kingdom gather to offer their valuable services, for a price of course. The basic market is where you can acquire more lands and hire powerful political figures that will help provide you with the means necessary to aid your princesses’ succession. Next is the princess area, where the young princesses await your careful selection. Just under those royal chambers lay all of the drama of court life, the curse cards and the dreaded outskirts.
Your play area consists of your hand, draw pile, discard pile, and domain. This is where you keep your chosen princess, the lands she reigns over, and her followers from court. Manage your domain wisely and you will quickly gain the power you need to choose the next sovereign ruler of the land.
In the Advanced Play Mini Expansion, each player starts the game with a deck of 10 cards as listed below. Otherwise, the rules of the game are unchanged.
- 6 Farming Villages
- 1 Mansion (New)
- 1 Attendant (New)
- 1 Apprentice Maid
- 1 Personal Maid (New)
To begin the game, instead of the number of Apprentice Maids, determine who goes first by who has the highest total number of Attendants, Apprentice Maids, and Personal Maids. All four Personal Maids have the same effect.
How add-ons work: Pledge the TOTAL amount you want to spend on your pledge (game, plus add-ons, plus shipping costs for your items), then once the campaign is over we will send you a survey which you will use to indicate how you want your funds applied.
Want to know where exactly we are at in our Production process? We will post the Production Schedule in our Updates as regularly as possible with details about what we are working on and how far we are in the Production process!
Japanime Games is proud to offer EU and Canada Friendly shipping and pledge level shipping is FREE in the USA. Your shipping will be added to your pledge once your Pledge Manager account is ready for you to finalize. When finalizing your pledge on Kickstarter be sure to check if any of your add-ons require extra shipping.
After the campaign has ended, you will be sent an invite to complete a survey and tell us how you want your pledged funds applied. For instance, if you pledged $200, $75 for your pledge level, $120 in add-ons and $5 in shipping, you would specify which add-ons during that time.
New backers can Pledge with the Pre-Order button at the top of this page. Backers can make changes at any time while Pledge Manager is open. It will remain open for a week or two before fulfillment. That being said, be sure to complete your pledge as soon as possible! Incomplete pledges (missing addresses, incorrect payments, etc.) will be held until they are complete, and we do not want you to wait any longer than you have to your for goodies!
Also please note that we may have to lock certain items or Pledge Levels closer to fulfillment in the event that the amount of orders for these items is reaching the maximum quantity ordered for fulfillment.

Risks and challenges
Japanime Games is dedicated to improving our process with every Kickstarter. We know that our fans expect regular updates and on-time delivery. We have been taking steps internally to reduce or eliminate delays on fulfillment for future projects in several ways;
1. Setting more realistic fulfillment deadlines
2. Dedicating more time to internal reviews of our products, such as team playtesting, and meetings dedicated to reviewing rulebooks, components, etc. Working directly with developers to ensure that our translations and edits correctly transpose mechanics. This has helped us to find errors that set us back in the manufacturing process on previous projects.
3. For international fulfillment, we have learned a great deal from our previous campaigns, and have altered our shipping plans from our manufacturers to help mitigate the delays our international backers have seen.
Heart of Crown: Fairy Garden is already well into production. We have received the final edits for the production files and will be sending these files for samples within the next couple of months. As shown on our Production Schedule many of the items promised in this campaign are already being ordered or are in the process of having samples sent to us for approval.
We have made it our goal to post updates at least once every two weeks post-campaign. There are challenges that sometimes prevent us from meeting this goal, but we are doing our best to let our backers know that production is still moving forward. We will have plenty of exciting updates to share with you post-campaign.
Thank you for your support!
