Japanime Games is thrilled to be working with Domina Games, building a partnership to bring their beautiful games to our fans, and we're starting with three of our favorites! Explore Frontier Town in the hopes of finding Eden in Argoat; escape a sinking island while rescuing precious relics in Pralaya; or take a wander through the Wonders of Miraris!
We are offering all 3 of the Domina Anthology games in a limited edition slip case that features artwork from the Books of Knowledge in Argoat. This box set is available in the Curator of Curiosities and Master of Mystery Pledge Levels.
Stories claim that Eden is a land of beauty without compare, and that its residents are bestowed with eternal life. However, the way to Eden is not open to all. Should it be discovered, the paradise will once again fade into darkness.
Your sources indicate that Eden slumbers somewhere in the vicinity of a certain Frontier Town. In order to discern its exact location, you must first seek the eight Fragments of Ancient Knowledge hidden across the land.
As you arrive in the Frontier Town, you meet the eyes of several other outsiders who no doubt have the same goal in mind...
Be the first to discover Eden by gathering the eight Fragments of Ancient Knowledge and flipping over the Dark Forest where Eden sleeps.
Great for ages 10 and up, Argoat is for 3-5 players and takes 45-60 minutes to play.
Pictured above is the starting set up for a five-player game.
At the bottom are the eight Fragments of Ancient Knowledge, separated by type and placed face-up to form the Reliquary. Next to those, the four Dark Forest cards are shuffled and placed 'Dark Forest' up to form the Darkness Deck; and the Item cards are shuffled and placed face-down to form the Supply deck. The Emeralds are placed to the side to create the Bank.
The Frontier Town is placed in the center of the table, surrounded randomly by the four starting Frontiers - for our sample gave above: Glittering Cave, Caravan, Forgotten Temple, and Labous Snowfield. Each Frontier must connect to Frontier Town using the Roads at the edge of each card. All Frontiers must face the same direction. The remaining Frontiers are shuffled and placed to the side. This is the Discovery Deck.
Each player chooses a color, placing their Avatar on the Frontier Town and taking four Check markers in their color, along with one Emerald.
Bleina markers are placed on the Frontier Town, equal to the number of players divided by two, rounding down (so 2 for a five-player game).

Long ago, there was an island nation in the southern sea that enjoyed a great period of cultural prosperity. Surrounded by natural beauty and gifted with tremendous intellect, the island's residents believed their peaceful lifestyle would go on for all time.
But one morning, a fearsome demon broke free from its ancient prison and began to drag the island into the depths of the sea.
With the end growing ever nearer, the king ordered his most loyal retainers to gather as much of the nation's knowledge and as many of the island's treasures as they could, and flee to the northern lands.
The word Pralaya comes from Sanskrit meaning 'dissolution' or by extension 're-absorption, destruction, annihilation or death'. There are several references to Hinduism and Indian culture in the cards of Pralaya, such as Pundit, Brahmin, Veda, and Dhoni.
Collect valuable relics, gather coins, and buy your safe passage from the island before it sinks into the sea!
The player who escapes on a Dhoni with the most valuable relics is the winner, but be warned - wait too long to flee and your fate will be the same as the island!
This quick-playing game (15-30 minutes) is perfect for 2-5 players, ages 10 and up!
Here is an example of what your central playspace will look like for a four-player game - the 18 Relic cards will create the Island, face up in a 3x6 grid. Relic cards can be purchased using Vitality points (each player has 3 each turn. The exception: in turn one, the first player has 1 Vitality point and the second player has 2; players from that point have 3).
To the left are the Veda and Dhoni piles. Once a player has spent Vitality, they can spend (discard) Currency to purchase the top Veda or Dhoni card and add it to their play area, face-up. Players may not purchase more than one of either card, and may not purchase both a Veda and Dhoni card in the same turn.
Once Vitality and Currency are spent, the Island is re-filled using the Relic deck, also to the left, and the player's turn ends.

As you gaze into the antique mirror, a strange and wonderful land comes into focus. A world of mystery awaits within the mirror's reflection. You are not alone there; another figure stands beside you.
Beyond the weathered frame, there is only beauty; beauty that beckons you into the world of dreams.
All you have to do is reach for it...
Discover the secrets of the Dream World, reflected in the antique mirror, as you explore its many Wonders. The Wonders, however, can only be visited by one person at a time. As you travel, you will find friends among the inhabitants of the Dream World. At the end of the game, the player who uncovers the truth behind the Dream World by scoring the most points is the winner! Designed for 3-6 players, ages 10+, Miraris is an 8-round game that takes 30-60 minutes to play.
This is what the shared playspace looks like for a 5-player starting setup. To begin setup, each player will receive two Character cards, face down. The player chooses one Character card and places it face down in front of them. The remaining unchosen Character cards are collected and set aside, face down.
The Wonder cards are shuffled and placed in the middle of the table. The number of cards equal to the number of players (5 in this case), are drawn and placed face up in a row, next to the deck.
The unused Character cards that were set aside earlier are placed in a row above the Wonder cards, to be used as a guide to where to place Dormire cards during the game. This can be skipped if the group is experienced, or if space is limited.
Each player also takes one set of Dormire cards, numbered 1-9. This is the player's hand.

Risks and challenges
Japanime Games is dedicated to improving our process with every Kickstarter. We know that our fans expect regular updates and on-time delivery. We have been taking steps internally to reduce or eliminate delays on fulfillment for future projects in several ways;
1. Setting more realistic fulfillment deadlines
2. Dedicating more time to internal reviews of our products, such as team playtesting, and meetings dedicated to reviewing rulebooks, components, etc. Working directly with developers to ensure that our translations and edits correctly transpose mechanics. This has helped us to find errors that set us back in the manufacturing process on previous projects.
3. For international fulfillment, we have learned a great deal from our previous campaigns, and have altered our shipping plans from our manufacturers to help mitigate the delays our international backers have seen.
All three games are already well into the design process and by the time this campaign closes, the files will be submitted to our manufacturer to begin the proofing process. Playmats and sleeves are laid out and will also be submitted to begin the production process by the end of the campaign.
As always, we strive to make sure that our Kickstarter backers are the first to receive their copies of games, as we appreciate your support so much! However, due to the logistics scheduling of manufacturers, fulfillment centers and conventions, you may see copies available at a show before you've received your Kickstarter copy. Rest assured if this happens, we are doing everything in our power to make sure your copy is on its way to you as well. Plus - do you really want to find MORE room in your luggage, or just let us ship it to you direct? ;)
We have made it our goal to post updates at least once every two weeks post-campaign. There are challenges that sometimes prevent us from meeting this goal, but we are doing our best to let our backers know that production is still moving forward. We will have plenty of exciting updates to share with you post-campaign.
After the campaign we offer a no questions asked refund minus the Kickstarter and payment processing fees (which we cannot recover).
Once the Pledgemanager has been closed (typically a week or two before fulfillment begins), we do not offer a refund. If we fail to fulfill your game you are entitled to a full refund, including fees.
All refunds may be processed via PayPal or the payment reversed through Stripe to your credit card at our discretion.
