The short version is that I'm an experienced video game artist, author/illustrator, creator of cool geek projects, a father of 3 amazing boys, and husband to 1 amazing wife.
I have previously created, and many of you have funded, 2 other custom Bicycle decks, and wrote and illustrated The Steampunk Alphabet. The Steampunk Cthulhu deck has been printed and delivered to my wonderful backers, and the art for the Elves & Orcs deck is finished and on the USPCC print schedule. These have been great experiences and taught me a lot about making quality decks and how to get them into the backer's hands.
Risks and challenges
After running 4 successful Kickstarter campaigns I've become all too aware of the fact that things seldom work out exactly as planned. Keeping this in mind, I always try my best to communicate clearly and promptly with all of my backers when obstacles arise, and they will.
I have now designed, printed and delivered a book and a deck of cards, and have another in print production now, and some of the main risks and challenges have been in working with the printer (USPCC) and with portrait card backers. While both have been great to work with, delays can come when there is a change in either schedule. Factory shut down days, a packed production schedule, or communication problems have all contributed to slow downs in the past. Though there have been a few bumps in the road, I think that the vast majority of my past backers will testify to my ability to right the ship and keep us on course. I'll give the same continued effort with this campaign.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
