This is a resurrection of the original Steampunk Cthulhu deck that I produced last year. The popularity of the deck has meant that there are no longer any of these decks available for purchase, I'm sold out!
3 decks later, I've thought many times about the improvements I would have made to my first one, and now with your help, I want to make those changes happen! Here's what you'll get:
- Artwork based on a Steampunk rendition of The Call of Cthulhu
- Beautifully designed and printed card backs
- Unique court cards with scenes and characters from the story
- A custom Steampunk Cthulhu tuck box, perfect for tucking
- Custom seal
- Thin borders
- Linen finish
Here's what's new:
- Thin borders on card back
- New background art on card fronts
- New tuck box
- New custom seal
- Stretch goal for Red back deck!
Add the following amounts to your pledge and you'll be able to specify what you chose through a survey process after the campaign ends.
When deciding to do this deck one of the things I wanted to do was to find a flexible printer that could still offer top notch quality card decks and tucks. Smaller minimum order quantities will allow me more flexibility, offering the decks at a better price, reprints, options of a red deck, and faster turn around time.
The plan at this point is to use Expert Playing Card Company, the printer of The Exquisite Deck. This printer comes with a very high reputation for QUALITY, which is my main priority. Precise cut, sharp printing, beautiful finish, quality tuck. Take a look at one of the deck reviews by magicorthodoxy:
Ok, not that I'm like THE man or anything, just an artist that loves making new things, and an experienced card creator with 3 decks designed and thousands of decks sold. I know the process and listen to what you, gentle backer, want.
Risks and challenges
3 Decks and 1 book later, I'm learning that there are always obstacles to overcome with Kickstarter fulfillment, be it print delays, missing addresses or natural disasters. That being said, I've made good on 3 going on 4 campaigns now and have processes in place to help with the challenges I'll face, and reduce risk. I have a fulfillment/shipping company that handles my packaging and shipping, know the print process well, and have most of the artwork already.
I can't guarantee everything will ship perfectly, but I can guarantee I'll do my best to see that it does. I've been weeks, not months, late on my reward fulfillments due to factory shut down days, holidays and technical issues. Those things can happen, but I'm always determined to push through them and get your cards in your hands.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
