About

When playing Candy Land with a two-five year old try keeping a nice pile or better yet, try having them only pick ONE card. Also, picking up two dice instead of having to stack and organize 66 cards is a much nicer and easier way to start playing a game. Besides, I'm pretty sure you've already lost some of the cards...so replace them with two dice.

How you use the dice:

1. Roll them, obviously

2. Move the number of blocks (1 or 2) shown on the first die in the color shown on the second die. If the first die shows pink, move to the shape shown on the second die.

3. Play same as normal

Statistics (if you care):

Since the game is inherently purely random (by shuffling) to begin with, the trick with the dice is to have nearly identical statistics. Looking at the cards, it's not quite a 3-2 ratio between one block and two block cards, respectively. The dice have 3 one block sides and 2 two block sides with the color determined by the other die. Next, there are 6 out of 66 pink cards, so 1/11th. There is one pink side on the die (1/6th), so you will hit pink more often in this arrangement. However, the travel version comes with a spinner where you can land on pink more often anyway.

Keep playing games with your kids!

Risks and challenges

The biggest challenge will be finding a manufacturer, depending on the lot size.
