New Square is the official publication of the Sancho Panza Literary Society, an independent society of ideas in residence each summer at the hauntingly beautiful and historic Trinity College Dublin. This bi-annual literary magazine called New Square (premiering Dec. 2018) that will feature groundbreaking new fiction, poetry, commentary, book, music and movie reviews. For the inaugural issues,we need help to build a subscription base and get off the ground.
We are a diverse group of writers, artists, and visionaries who want to, above everything else, create. New Square is a platform for all creatives around the world. A place to join the discourse even if you are thousands of miles from another poetic soul.
Anyone who donates 50 or more dollars will be formally recognized as one of our donors in the print edition of the magazine. Those who donate over 100 dollars will be credited as patrons of the magazine. Any kind and generous soul who donates over 200 dollars will be considered one of the magazines benefactors. All donations of 50 dollars or above will automatically get a year long subscription to the New Square. Of course, even a small donation will help us unite the world with literature. With a donation of only 5 dollars you will get the sincerest thank you in the form of a letter. People so rarely get letters nowadays.
We’ve decided against charging a reading fee. It is essential to us that writers can be sure that our motives are entirely artistic and legitimate. We are releasing a print edition, and do of course need funding to survive, but we hope to secure that through subscriptions and donations—not by charging writers. Submitters need not worry about fitting themselves into niches or conforming their writing to preordained or manufactured subcategories; we are looking for pathos, and will publish talent in all its forms. The Fall issue will be released, both in print and online, on December 15th. We will consider submissions until November 1 for the Fall issue, but we accept submissions year round. The Spring issue goes to print on May 1, and that reading period closes on April 1. We hope you’ll consider donating. No donation is too small, and we are very grateful for any and all generosity—it allows us to do what we love.

Risks and challenges
We rely on donations since our society does not yet have steady funding. The New Square literary magazine is still at its inception but we have a fantastic group of people all working together on this. Your support will allow this program to florish.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
