Welcome to Omit Me, a single-player, first-person, deeply psychological experience. It is inspired by games such as The Beginner's Guide for its emotional story; Portal for its puzzles and background storyline; and Unturned for its low polymer design and beautiful landscapes.
Omit Me comes from our passion for profound games that genuinely get the player thinking about hidden deep messages that slowly unravel as the story goes on.
The player represents a dementia patient whose memory is continuously being manipulated. The patient is isolated from human contact and needs to find a way out of a hospital.
Reality is constantly being changed and manipulated and leaves the player confused and disorientated creating a challenge ...... they may leave a room but when they return it has gone.
Our aim is to have multiple background story lines which explain the life of the character's past and their family. It will include people who have previously visited, worked or lived at the hospital. This will make for an emotionally stimulating experience.
Throughout the game, the player will slowly begin to realize why they're in hospital and isolated from human contact. There may be a hidden storyline of how the character was diagnosed.
The game is going to be free roam. The character will be free to walk around the hospital and explore many different rooms as they become manipulated.
Omit Me aims to be completed by mid-2018.
