A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Have you ever been in the middle of a really intense workout, listening to your favorite jams, and have your Bluetooth headphones die on you? How about stuck in the middle of a really long dragging commute with the only saving grace being your music or audio book? Having your headphones run out of juice just really ruins everything. How about those days where you forget your iPhone audio port adapter and can’t plug your wired headphones in? Now that’s just as disappointing as it gets. Let’s be honest with each other. No one remembers to carry that around every day. Most of us have probably even lost ours by now. Whether you’re an Android user, or an iPhone user, the need for an immediate solution is real.
Android users are still lucky enough to have an aux port, so they always have the option of plugging in an old fashioned pair of wired headphones and getting on the go. But come on, everything is moving into Bluetooth. Pretty soon, walking around with regular old wired headphones will be the equivalent of walking around with a cassette player or having an eight track in your car.
Of course we are all probably familiar with Bluetooth over the ear headphones that can be used with a cable, and that could sort of solve our problems. However, most of these run for well over $100 and they are pretty bulky for those of us who prefer small, easy to stow away buds… not at all the best accessory for someone who enjoys being able to travel light or those who may be on a budget.
For all of us who prefer our nice compact buds and who want to be able to live in our modern and wireless world, but also have a nice cushion to fall back on once our battery runs out, Symphonized has come up with the perfect solution: the Symphonized Hybrid Headphones! These are wireless earbuds that have a micro USB port (also known as the charging port) where you can plug in an included micro USB to aux cable. You never have to worry about forgetting to your charge headphones ever again. When your battery runs low, or you have simply forgotten to charge your earphones for a few days, plug the cable into the micro USB port and you have a classic wired pair of headphones ready to plug and play with any device with a standard 3.5mm audio port. On the flip side, if you are anything like some of us at Symphonized, you are always forgetting (or losing) that ridiculous adapter and stuck without headphones, Symphonized Hybrid to the rescue! Unplug the micro USB cable and turn on the Bluetooth feature. You’re good to go!
We want to make this Kickstarter SUPER SPECIAL for you guys so in addition to being able to be one of the first to help bring the Hybrid headphones to life, we are also offering you the chance to be one of the first to try out our Symphonized Bluetooth Headphone Charging Case! This charging case will be the perfect companion to your Hybrid headphones. Charge your headphones on the go, anywhere, any time!
So let’s break it down for you:
What you Get:
Brand New Symphonized Headphones: Have the option of trying out our Hybrid Bluetooth headphones
Symphonized Portable Charging Case: Charge your headphones anywhere anytime
Protection for your buds: Keep your headphones safe; extend their lifespan!
Sounds pretty great, right?
This really started as something that we wanted to do for ourselves, but we have really been loving the idea and want to share it with you! This would only be possible with your help! For all you tech geeks looking for the next big thing, for all you gadget lovers looking for something to add to your collection, for all you guys who are always on the go, and even for all of you guys who simply forget to charge things on a regular basis, we want to give you something that you can really love and use.
Kickstarter is the place where we can really work on something together. We came up with the big idea. You get to help bring this to life. If you join our campaign, if we are lucky enough to meet our goals, and if one day you are walking down the street and see other people using the hybrid headphones, you’ll get to know that you made that happen. Without your belief in us and our idea, it could never have come true.
Risks and challenges
You guys may be wondering, if we are already in business and we have a bunch of products we have already made, what makes this one so difficult that we need the fans’ help?
Well, this is something new, something that is not really on the market yet, and more of something we just came up with for ourselves. The vision wasn’t really to create this for mass production. After realizing how helpful it could be to others, we wanted to expand and help produce it for everyone.
Since we are a smaller company, it really isn’t in our budget to run with this idea the way that we would have loved to. This would take a lot of resources that we do not have and we believe in doing things right, or not at all.
We are really scared of not reaching our goal. If we don’t reach our goal, the reality is, we won’t be able to make the hybrid headphones happen. Without completely reaching our goal, our campaign won’t be funded and we won’t be able to push into the next phase of production. You guys, our backers, are the ones who have all the power. It’s one of the biggest challenges in the world to have faith in others, but we definitely believe in all of you and we definitely think that together, we can make this a successful campaign.
