City Hood follows the lives of a girl named Jessica, her younger brother Qyia and adopted sibling Ethan. At the start of the story Jessica is struggling with Tourette Syndrome, making her a target for bullies throughout the neighborhood. Despite Qyia’s valor when it comes to protecting his big sister he is unable to. The story soon takes a strange twist when Ethan the mysterious sibling and “child genius” creates an invention to help them.
Jessica and Qyia are given amazing new abilities by Ethan’s invention. However when their powers are caught on video, they ‘re soon labeled terrorists.
Jessica and Qyia are relentlessly pursued by a shadow agency known as the council. The female agent in charge in known as Adisa. (seen below)
City Hood is like Stranger Things meets the X-men. While the story does touch on a few social issues it is firmly grounded in the science fictional realm. This comic is a passion project for me, one that I’ve been itching to create for a while. It'll stand as a four part mini series.
Prints signed by the artist
The Classified prints consist of 2 8½” x 11” color prints signed by the artist. Plus the previous rewards.

If you’ve backed comic books before then you already know that creating a comic book takes time and money. What I gain from Kickstarter will go toward the first issue of the story. The support and funds from this Kickstarter will also go into printing, shipping, packaging, as well as help produce rewards for backers.
Risks and challenges
The comic pages for this book are almost done, I started prep last year. Funding from Kickstarter will only speed up the process. Outside of the extra content and all of the artwork for the rewards the book will soon be complete! So there are no risks there. Funding will give me more time to dedicate to this project and get it off the ground.
I have worked with the printing company I'm using several times and they've always done outstanding work in a timely fashion! I'm also quite familiar with all of the other companies I will be using for the rewards!
I don't anticipate any delays/issues but if any come up, I will contact the backers immediately!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
