This is one of Paper Rocket's patented short-and-sweet Kickstarters! It's just a couple of weeks long and our goal is modest. I like to think of this as a pre-order campaign--the cost of each reward is equal to the price of the publication(s).
In her Missy books, Daryl Seitchik perfectly captures all the bittersweet moments of childhood. Her latest story, Dear Missy, is her best one yet.

Daryl’s best friend is her diary, named Missy. When her parents get divorced, she confides her feelings to Missy in the form of a poem. In fifty sweet, sad, and hilarious panels, Daryl puts words to her heartbreak as only an eight-year-old can.
I discovered Canadian cartoonist Jason Bradshaw and his minicomic, Bore, a few years ago at TCAF. I was really impressed by his cartooning, especially a story he had just begun to serialize called Things Go Wrong. I'd like to help Jason reach an audience in the USA, so I'm republishing Things Go Wrong in three issues.

James is a frustrated artist who’s slowly killing himself through self-sabotage and neglect. He's sporadically employed (hack work, not “serious” painting) but spends most of his time alone in his apartment, shin-deep in discarded take-out containers and pizza boxes.
When he comes down with a painful digestive ailment, his doctor prescribes the medication he needs. James must follow a few simple steps to save his own life…but sometimes these things aren’t as simple as they seem.
Things Go Wrong #1 only ships to the USA. (Canadians, buy issues of Bore directly from the author.)
My Kickstarter goal is $600. But If I raise $700, Daryl and Jason will each get an extra $50.
Split the Tips!
I've noticed some people like to pledge more than the cost of their selected reward. If you do that, I'll split that extra money between Paper Rocket and the author of whatever reward you've selected. That way, you know money is going to the author(s) you're supporting.
Risks and challenges
There really isn't much at risk here. The books are drawn, they just need to be printed. I should be able to do that in the next few weeks, in time for SPX. If you're at SPX, you can pick up your reward there!
Rewards will start going in the mail as soon as the Kickstarter funds clear, which should be in early October.
