Cocky. Reckless. Deadly. That's no way to raise a family. Now her daughter has been taken and she has 6 comic issues to get her back.
Three years ago in a Starbucks in Downtown Los Angeles, co-creator Travis Chesney and I wanted to come up with a story that had a strong female protagonist, action, comedy and enthralling characters that weren't your standard, overdone stereotypes.
After a few first drafts that could only be described as standard and overdone, Deadly Crimson started to evolve beyond the average femme fatale.
This story is a thrilling action film with comedic elements and a tongue-in-cheek style, similar to The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, films successful for their ability to poke fun at their own cliches and tropes, while retaining an emotional center to an exciting story. And this is exactly what we were looking for!
Deadly Crimson starts off with Crimson, reckless, adrenaline hunter on a mission that goes from bad to worse to "I'm walking away from this". Only there's no walking away from Cole Pryor, the man in charge. Think Tony Stark with twice the sense of humor and none of the conscience.
This one choice of walking away unravels her entire life, including the lives of her husband and teenage daughter, up until now, completely oblivious to her double life.
Before Crimson was born, she was just a normal researcher, Jamie Roberts, working in a lab at Pryor Industries. Jamie came across a breakthrough and developed a serum to speed up the healing process and the immune system of the wounded. While her discovery was still in the testing phase, her parent company, Pryor Industries, managed to utilize the same serum to grant her increased strength, speed and awareness, turning her into the perfect killer.
The only complications - her husband Leo, and teenage daughter, Alexandra. Her missions around the globe fractured their relationship to a near breaking point.
With her decision to walk away from Cole, her identity is revealed, her daughter is kidnapped and now she is Cole's #1 target.
Crimson and Leo embark on an intense and electrifying rescue mission, forcing them to ally with international killers and criminals, while facing off against the growing might of this crime organization. All this while the clock ticks down on the fate of their daughter, Alex.
Crimson's world is packed with excitement, explosions and secrets of her world. And the world is exactly what she is up against!
Crimson is a sexy, overconfident and extremely deadly assassin. Before she became an assassin, researcher Jamie Roberts developed a serum to speed up the healing process and the immune system of the wounded. While her discovery didn’t meet its intended purpose, her parent company, Pryor Industries, managed to utilize the same serum to grant her increased strength, speed and awareness, turning her into the perfect killer. She also has a loving husband, Leo Roberts and 13 year old daughter, Alexandra Roberts who until there world falls apart, knew nothing about CRIMSON!
Leo Roberts, 35, handsome and is the husband of Jamie and father of Alexandra Roberts. Leo is oblivious to Jaime's double life and is getting to his breaking point that his wife is a workaholic. He is a wonderful stay at home dad, but his witty humor is not humorous once he has to team up with Crimson to battle an evil corporation.
Alexandra is a normal 13 year old teenager except her mother is an assassin for an evil corporation and never home. Alex carries some of her mom's looks. Alex is a bit rebellious and resents her mother for never being in her life. She acts out against Jaime and defies her mother every chance she gets. Alexandra does not know what she is about to come up against and those challenges will forever change the fate of her family.
Cole Pryor is the head of Pryor Industries which from the outside looking in looks like a humanitarian and his company has created many vaccines to help the world. This is a man who takes care of himself, every part of his life is immaculate and he has infinite confidence. Cole is an evil Tony Stark with more svelte. He is a man who has no conscience, but all confidence.
The Project Steps From Here On Out -
We've initiated the creation of the first issue, script written and art on its way. We'd like to follow this up with five more issues, rounding out the story of Deadly Crimson, and leading to an eventual feature film (with shorts/a trailer to help make this a reality!)
Also we will be marketing the comic books and the eventual movie by Crimson herself going around the United States and promoting. We will be at Comic book conventions, book stores, events, red carpets and more! You will get your own chance to come out and meet her yourself.
We will also be pitching during the year as we move forward to make sure that everything becomes a reality. We have worked hard on this project the past 3 years and we are not stopping now!
The Story concept of Deadly Crimson is as big as Marvel, but unique in it's own way. Crimson can be included in the "Avengers". I can see Crimson fighting along side with Hulk, Captain America and putting her own little spin on the fighting style. Pryor Industries is the perfect evil corporation that could go up against Stark Enterprises for the battle of the century!
Deadly Crimson can compare to these movies:
