Have a question?
Checking in for an update as well. Any movement on the Switch?
Any further updates?
I've played an early access version and I really liked it. The puzzles are a good mix of easy and challenging, which I like.
Hi James Webster. Currently our plans haven't changed for the Switch - we still want it on the platform. The only thing holding us up (and always has been) is Nintendo granting access to the development resources. We have access to their other resources, e.g. for Wii U, but still nothing for Switch. The last movement on the subject was an e-mail to Nintendo Developer Support on Mon, May 28, 9:47 AM.
All we can really do is wait - and in the meantime we're awaiting the feedback/bugs on the PC/macOS/Linux builds of the game over on Steam. Achaem is a very different project to Eat All The Things, we hope you like the look of it.
Are you guys still working on the switch port for eat all the things? Saw on Twitter you moved onto “Achaem” and didn’t have anything to say about eat all the things.
Early release specific to PC?
Switch still planned?
@JamesWebster @extrantaves going for a March early access release! We hope you help with the testing :)
when will the special backer alpha happen?
Hello @Azlarial, that's a great idea, we're going to look into sharing some kind of project timeline soon. In the meantime, we'll be releasing some parts of our early builds to our Early Build backers soon!
Is there any updates timelines for the project?
@Reid Savage currently the only difference is a Limited Edition costume and/or early access builds for backers who opted for these reward tiers.
Thanks so much for your support!
So I never actually switched my teir earlier, I'm not going to try and say "any way to do that now?" Or anything. I don't mind paying when the game comes out.
I was just curious if there was actually any difference in the basic backer copy of the game as will be in the public release.
Not looking to gripe of whine, just for some closure on the subject.
No worries :) I just check in every now and then lol. Everything looks great!
Is there any timeline / goal we're aiming for?
Any work on the switch Devkit?
Hi Alzarial! Sorry for the radio silence, check our most recent update to see what we've been up to :)
Evening! Just checking in again, things looking good for December still?
Thank you for checking in! We plan to do a Kickstarter update towards the end of next week with new videos and screenshots, but here's a sneak peek from the corner of the Bubblegum Dystopia sandbox https://www.youtube.com/watch…
Our plans to release on the Switch haven't changed - once the game is closer to completion we'll be e-mailing Nintendo for their consideration!
Check back next week (you'll get an e-mail) for the update :)
Just checking in, how are things looking?
Still going to be available on Switch?
NOOOOO I FORGOT TO DRAW SOMETHING END ME NOW
Glad this game reached its goal, congrats!
Thank you for the extremely kind words Corey Voorhees - we're happy to see your excitement! We hope you enjoy the game once it's ready!
Coming from an Avid Nintendo Switch user and primary PC gamer, I have to say I'm more than just stoked for this to release on the Nintendo Switch eShop. You guys are doing amazing work and I believe this title is PERFECT for the Switch platform!
Thank you isaac reynolds, we're humbled to find out that our backers have been sharing the campaign! We couldn't have made it without all of you - and we're sure it all contributed to our (eventual) success, as we were unknown when we started the campaign!
So glad you guys made it! I tried to share this as often as I could, I like to think that helped but I'm just so glad this got funded! Can't wait! Congratulations!!!
Thank you Derpy_Luvmuffin! We're glad you've taken a liking to Eat All The Things and we really appreciate your efforts to get our game out there :D
I upped my pledge, because I didn't want to see such a cute game fall short. I posted it around as much as I could to try and get more backers. I really hope it turns out to be as fun and cute as I hope it will.^-^
Hello David Hammond and PlayerNegative1! Thanks to you and all our backers, we've made our goal :) We've updated our banner with some celebratory fireworks!
Woah the goal was hit! I guess I don't need to up my pledge like I was planning to...
Jk have more money I'm super happy congrats!
Congrats guy. You made goal!
Hello PlayerNegative1! Thank you for the pledge :) Customising Bronut's face is certainly possible and something we'd love to introduce, and whilst it's not part of the campaign goal it's something we may be able to introduce shortly after meeting our original spec :)
We're big fans of Tomodachi Life ourselves :)
I don't know if it's even possible but it would be super sweet if you could customize Tablet similar to how it's done in Miitopia in that you can change his face and name to be any mii you want. The switch version could let you change it to another mii's face, while the android and pc versions could let you pick a picture from your device. IF such a thing would even be possible and easy enough to add in, it would be even better if we could change the face of Tablet and each enemy that has his face separately for the added customization.
Hello extrantaves - it'll of course arrive in a box or some form of packaging, but the collectible is the artwork itself :) 5 days left!
so is it an empty box for the signed physical? sorry for all the questions also
Please show your support for the project over here. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/73a90n/please_help_eat_all_the_things_it_ends_this_week/
Hello again extrantaves!
From the campaign: The signed physical print will be an a5 art print with a personal thank you and signed by us. So for this reward it doesn't matter which platform you're on :)
6 days to go!
one more comment, is the physical copy for PC? or have will be able to communicate with nintendo for a switch physical?
Hello extrantaves! That's right, the signed print comes with all the previous rewards! We've nearly made the campaign goal with 6 days left - thank you for your ongoing support!
If only someone would get all the things the kickstart would be successful
So the signed copy comes with a digital copy, early access, costumes, and your name in a stage and credits, right? Cause that’s quite a bit.
Hello Matthew and Reid! Your enthusiasm for the project is very inspiring, thank you so much for your continued support and let's hope we make it :)
Some maybe waiting to see if it will get there without paying more (I kinda am, addmittely.) But if noting changes toward the end, as it stands if everyone added about about $6 (I don't know how may euros) that would fund it.
I doubled my pledge so hopefully more of you guys do the same so we can get this game on the eShop and Steam!
Hello Carmine Red! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and continued support, we're remaining positive!
Thirteen days? That's plenty of time! I believe we can do this guys, and I just increased my own pledge to help out!
Hello Ryan - thank you (and everyone else) so much for your support!
To answer your question, the aim is to have the game complete during December, with early access builds available to those who backed with the "Early Access Builds" reward before then. The funding is to cover Nintendo Switch development kit, Steamworks Distribution Program Fee, and our unpaid leave from our jobs.
To date, we have exhausted our paid annual leave to work on the game but we're due our next set of annual leave soon too! The plan is to use our funding strategically to maximise our time on the project. The funding will give us enough to take around 40 working days off between us, so we plan to distribute that depending on what's needed, rather than a 50/50 split. Depending on what works, we're also thinking of taking 3 days off from our day-jobs a week, and using the 2 day weekend to work on the game 5 days a week, and working at our day-jobs on our 'days off'. This again will let us maximise the funding to spend longer on the game - working weekends is no issue for us because we want the game to be completed for everyone to enjoy!
You'll notice the game has improved massively when you compare the recent co-op trailer to the pre-alpha demo we released on itch.io - this is the result of working when we can around our day-jobs, we hope the improvements are noticeable!
So i've backed the project for £12 as I really quite like the style of the game and I am quite interested to see where it goes.
Now a question I have is in one of your reply to another backer you said that part of the backer amount is for you guys to take a month off work to work on the game, does that mean you will only be spending a month on this project? and if not do you have and estimated times for when you will finish this game?
Everyone just needs to get one friend to back for $10 or two friends to back for $5 and we'll reach the goal!
