Update #10: The home stretch

Posted by Benedikt Groß & Joey Lee (Creator)

Dear Backers and Friends,

Benedikt and Joey here! It has been a while since our last update, but we assure you that it has been a productive and busy one. Here's just a short and sweet recap of what's been on our plates the last few months:

Exhibition Coming Soon!

Aerial Bold was accepted to be shown at the IEEE VisAP 2015 conference in Chicago, IL, USA from October 16h - October 30th. This year's theme is "Data Improvisations", so you can imagine that we fit right in!

We hope to see you there.

True to the title of the update, we're in the home stretch of Aerial Bold

We've got several parallel processes currently underway that, in the next month or so, will get wrapped up. This includes:

+ The letterform detection algorithm which is currently running over a ton of satellite imagery,

+ Aerial Bold posters which showcases each of the fonts. These will be shown at the exhibition in Chicago. Here's a sneak peak:

Suburbia Poster
Suburbia Poster

+ The Aerial Bold Typewriter - a web app that will allows you to type messages with the fonts, satellite imagery, and explore the data.

You will also be excited to hear that once we wrap up and polish off the remaining tasks, we'll be reaching out to you regarding your backer rewards. We're so close!

Thanks for your patience and understanding. We really appreciate your support.

We'll be in touch soon!
