We are House of Pendragon (HoP) Brewing Company. With over seven years brewing experience, Brewer Tommy Caprelian takes pride in creating beers that push the limits of flavor and complexity.
House of Pendragon Brewing Company is located in Sanger California where Owner and Brewer Tommy Caprelian grew up and went to school. House of Pendragon is the first and only microbrewery in Sanger and any expansion to the brewery will most likely remain in Sanger.
Tommy made his first homebrew batch in 2006. It didn't take long before his interest got deeper. He soon expanded his brew system, joined the local homebrew club (Worthogs), and studied piles of brewing books. After attending Siebel Institute Tommy's passion for beer grew deeper and his recipes became more complex. The next step was to go pro. He got his chance working for Tioga Sequoia Brewing Company as the Assistant Brewer and Quality Control Manager where he learned to put his brewing education into practice. After working for Tioga Sequoia for a little over a year, Tommy knew it was time to venture out on his own. House of Pendragon's first brew day was in February 2013. Coco Crusader was the first batch that was made on a professional level. The beers have been showcased in pubs and restaurants in the Fresno and Visalia area. Demand for great tasting beer that House of Pendragon has been able to deliver continues to grow.
The public has spoken. The Central Valley is ready for the HoP taproom!
A great location has been found at Willow and Nees in Clovis, Ca in the Parkway Trails Shopping Center. The lease has been signed and the design plans have been approved. Now we just need to put it all together and let the Pendragon fans in to experience great tasting beer at its peak in freshness!
Where will the money go?
There are four major components to the expenses:
• Plumbing and Electrical
• Kickstarter, Credit card, and Merchandise fees
Money beyond our goal:
We can really use your help beyond our main goal. These are some items that we will also need to purchase.
·Painting and Décor - $3,000
·Bar seating - $1,800
·Glassware - $1,300
·TV’s and Speakers - $1,500
·Point of sale system - $700
·Taproom outdoor building sign $6,000
If we get even more than that, we can use a keg washer which runs approximately $8,000 and any other upgrades to the brewery!
These are some of the gifts that you will receive for your generous donation.
Risks and challenges
The brewery is up and running and we are completely licensed to move forward with a tasting room. The biggest risk is that this Kickstarter event is an all-or-nothing deal. If we don’t reach our goal, we don’t get any of it. So please spread the word so that we can make this campaign a success!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
