Open Source Gaming Gun Compatible with: XBOX, PS3, PC and the next generation of consoles.
WE LOVE FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS, BUT FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS MISSING.
We love FPS, but things were getting a little repetitious for us. The thrill of playing was losing its mojo. We have found it again and it's better than ever!
We made a FPS controller that is like nothing you have ever experienced before. Our vision is to bridge the gap between motion control and Hardcore First Person Shooters. For the first time, the player will feel more immersed in game-play and have more control over the game than ever before. Unlike motion control of the past, we do the work for you.
- Real recoil
- Tap the magazine to reload
- IR sensor triggers zoom by looking down the barrel
- Move the stock to trigger a melee
A REALISTIC LOOK
We want the Delta Six to provide as realistic an experience as possible. However, working with such a realistic looking body does present its own issues, especially with current events. When the final product is produced, the gun will have a bright orange tip and will also be optionally available in bright white. We understand the orange detracts from the realism, however the benefits far outweigh the alternative. Once you start playing, the orange tip will be far from your mind. We promise!
A UNIVERSAL CONTROLLER
The Delta Six controller is one of the few controllers on the market that can be used with multiple consoles. One of our crowning features is the fact that you only need to buy one controller, no matter how many consoles you own! Playing on the XBOX today and the PS3 tomorrow? No problem. Of course we'd love for you to pledge for more than one Delta Six, but that's just so your friends aren't jealous when they come over for a frag session!
The Virtuix Omni
We are extremely excited to announce that we are working directly with Virtuix to ensure compatibility between the Delta Six controller and The Omni. We know that combining our devices will make for an absolutely incredible experience. We realize that the fully immersive gaming experience has to be just that. Fully immersive. Your arms and legs, your senses, the controller you’re wielding, it all needs to work together.

ABOUT THE CREATOR
David Kotkin is an inventor and a dreamer. And when he dreams, he dreams big! David's first Kickstarter project, the DEF-CON F4 Avenger was 147% funded and has since sold thousands of additional units. The rewards were fulfilled on-time, even to international backers. His creative nature and desire to fix a real problem lead him to create one of the most well revered controller mods on the market.
David is also the inventor of the Go Duster. Selling over 2 million units, the Go Duster pushed David to really understand the logistics involved with marketing, production and distribution on a large scale.
It takes a lot of money to get a product like the Delta Six off the ground. Creating and improving the prototypes, lining up deals with manufacturers to get the best parts for the best prices, marketing on a national level and setting up partnerships with production facilities and distributers all takes money. And a lot of it!
$100,000 gets us started, but as we raise more funds, the more we can do to improve the final product. Whether we raise $100K, $500K or beyond, we guarantee that the controller you end up with will exceed every expectation you have.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We can't make the Delta Six a reality without you! Pledge whatever you can and know that every little bit helps. We're constantly discussing what we can do to make the rewards more...well, rewarding! We don't have specific stretch goals yet, but the higher we go, the bigger we can dream!
Note: Be sure to keep an eye on the updates, comments and especially, the FAQ. We can't edit rewards after they've been backed, so these will be the places where we announce any additions we can work out for you!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Every project has its own set of risks and challenges. The specific challenges I face as an inventor and designer in bringing The Delta Six to market and rewarding our investors are the following:
Although I have successfully completed seven projects—taking them from idea to design, manufacturing, and distribution, this is the biggest project I’ve ever tackled. Bringing together the right team and successfully marketing so many new products is not a task without risk and poses a new set of challenges, mostly due to its greater scope. I have faced similar challenges before and my experience in these matters lowers the risk.
Dealing with suppliers and manufacturing sources also presents a risk. Logistics can break down if they aren’t carefully managed. Timing issues, including meeting deadlines and delays in customs when parts or products need to be imported from overseas are constant challenges, but my experience has taught me how to successfully manage these logistical problems.
Going over budget is always a risk. I have learned to meet this challenge by having failed at it at times but have learned to anticipate and control costs as a result. Identifying and mitigating risk and responding to and overcoming challenges are matters that I have a great deal of experience in. I have learned how much experience counts and it is one of the reasons investors will respond favorably to the opportunity this project provides.

At this time, the only add-on that is included with every Delta Six, on any pledge level, is the scope. The other add-ons are not currently available on any pledge level. These add-ons are entirely dependent on which body style we use for final production and availability from manufacturers. If the campaign raises enough funds, we will strongly consider seeing what else we can add. Right now, we anticipate any add-ons being available for purchase after the campaign and we will provide a discounted rate for all of our Kickstarter backers.
Currently we're using a 7 volt "brick" style NiMH battery. It's rechargeable! We don't have specifics on battery life available just yet, but it's lasted through all of our tests, and then some! We'll make sure the end product boasts enough battery life to get you through those epic frag sessions!
Simple! While holding it level, turn it off, then turn it back on. Done and done.
How many controllers does your console/game support? That many.
We don't have stretch goals currently, as the available reward levels are pretty much "at cost" for us. If we make it towards $500K, then we'll definitely make something awesome happen.
Right now, XBOX, PS3 and PC. We're constantly striving to add to that list, and with the connection being wireless, the possibilities are almost endless!
No. All Delta Six controllers will come with an orange tip, for safety reasons. We're still testing and searching for the perfect parts and body combinations, so the final body model may be different than what's currently displayed.
The Delta Six will play games wirelessly. However, because it's an open source system, you can plug in via USB to modify the programming of the controller to meet your needs.
First crack at tweaking the commercially available code. Fine tuning the gun to suit your taste. Ideally we want a file share where people can tweak codes upload them and share. Potential app marketplace idea.
There are a lot of hoops that will need to be jumped through to deliver the Delta Six to certain countries. We have experience shipping overseas, but not with an item of this design. We're consulting with businesses that already ship replicas and toy guns overseas to make sure we cover our bases. We can't guarantee that there won't be issues, but we can guarantee that we will communicate honestly with you and won't rest until you receive your Delta Six.
Never fear! The Delta Six will be available either right-handed or left-handed. We will be in touch after the campaign to make sure we send you the right (or left!) one.
We offer a 30 day money back guarantee and a 90 day warranty on manufacturing. These guarantees are only effective after you receive your Delta Six.
The Delta Six controllers are universal. If you need to switch consoles, you'll be able to do so via the SDK. We'll make sure the process is easy enough for anyone to do, regardless of tech skill.
