If you have been following our website, twitter, facebook, forums, etc, most of the information in this update will be familiar to you, but if not, we wanted to reach out to you and let you know what is going on in the world of TAKEDOWN!
We got the first batch of physical rewards in from our supplier. This has been a learning process for us, and we definitely learned we are game developers, not product producers! After a delay in production and customs, we finally received or shipment of items for you in the office (obviously not the game copy and related art book, but everything else). We budgeted for this right off the bat, and we have worked hard to get you your physical rewards with quality but with a healthy respect for the budget impact on the game itself.
That being said, here is your preview of what you can expect:
NOTE: I know some folks have issues with T-shirt sizes, we made our size choices to minimize the impact on the game budget. If you have serious issues, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will see what we can do. But please remember every extra $ we spend on T-shirts means less for the game.
Hey, we know you love swag, and I'm sure you are happy to hear we are following through with our promises...but what about the game?
Since our last Kickstarter update, much progress has been made. We have moved on from our prototype level, Biolab, onto a new level "whitebox," which we have named "Facility." Whitebox is the initial stage of design which is focused on gameplay, with minimal art work done to get an idea of what the level will be. Facility is based on an underground nuclear-rod storage facility. You can enjoy some shots below:
Since the last update, we have MP up and running, including Co-Op mission play through as well as traditional Team V Team game play, and are continuously gameplay testing. Whitebox development continues on new levels, and gameplay features such as AI development, grenades, and hostages are ongoing in development.
