About this project
I would like to buy a yacht capable of circumnavigating the world through the Suez canal and panama canal stopping off at various destinations taking photos and making a video along the way. I have no boating experience but have a massive sense of adventure and exploration. At the end of this epic journey I hope to make a DVD and launch it on a documentary channel. An ordinary person around the world.
My route would be to leave the river Tyne and head south past France and Spain into the Med and visit some destinations on the way. From there through the Suez canal towards India. From India head to Hong Kong then head south towards Australia. From Australia to South America and through the Panama canal then head north to New York. After New York head south again to the Caribbean then across the Atlantic to Ascension. Then head Northeast to the Canneries. Then finally back to the UK.
At the end of this epic journey 1 random backer will be picked out of a hat to win the yacht.
Get funding from generous backers who can envisage this epic journey taking place.
Go shopping for a decent size boat or yacht capable of circumnavigating the globe.
Choose a crew, get supplies and buy camera equipment.
Plan a route and set sail. Document everything using head cams and other camera equipment.
Return to port and edit the video footage and make a documentary.
A documentary of a normal person (myself) who has an idea and asks for funding from the public to sail around the world in a yacht bought from the backing of normal people.
Release the documentary and reward all backers.
