Fantastic album guys! Wonderful tunes and there isn't one throw-away in the bunch; after hearing your versions, it may be impossible to remember how the originals sounded. Enjoying all the extra goodies. Hope you're thinking up another kickstarter project. No doubt about it, I'll help back it!
I love the CD (especially "Music of the Night" ala "Monster Mash"). I'd love to get some copies for friends as Christmas presents. When (and where) will it be available for purchase?
Got my CD in the mail too. "Summertime" just plain cooks. Also great: "When You Wish Upon a Star," "As Time Goes By," "As Time Goes By" and (for a different reason) "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."
Just got my CD in the mail! Thanks!
Congratulations Big Daddy. Thanks for Kickstarter.
Here via Neil Gaiman; he talked about this three times on Twitter! Congratulations on being funded!
Thanks to everyone from the Steve Hoffman Music Forums that participated and became backers for this project... way to go, guys and gals!!
Loved you guys for ages - thanks to Neil Gaiman's fb post I made it here in time!
If everyone ups their bid by only $11 or gets someone to join for that amount Big Daddy will reach their goal!!!
Way to go Big Daddy Fans!
We're on the way to "smashing" the Kickstarter goal of $35,000.
Let's make a final push and send the great Big Daddy 59' band back to the studio!
Just noted that Bob is a Pali Hi Grad (so am I -- he's class of '65; I'm '77). You should drop a note on this on one of the Pali Hi related groups on FB
I think Big Daddy is one of the most talented musical groups. It's too bad more people don't know about them.
I am very interested in the Big Bopper package! As I travel from Europe I would like to know at what date the recording would approximately be??? Flight costs are different at various seasons :-)
Hope that Big Daddy will make it!!!
I would absolutely love to do the "Big Bopper" combo... timing!
Go Big Daddy Go!
These guys are the best! I have all their albums... and I've seen them perform many times in the Los Angeles area. Their '50s "smash-up" is a hoot... and they do it so well, with terrific vocals. And now, like the song they parodied, they just need "...a little (more) help from their friends."
