Help make Les Bostonades’ first CD a success!
Concertos by Telemann & C.P.E. Bach
The period-instrument ensemble Les Bostonades has been sharing chamber music with its Boston area friends, supporters, and fans since 2005. The ensemble features Baroque music specialists who have studied and performed all over the world, who collaborate in the heart of Boston's vibrant early music scene to bring their listeners spirited and polished performances. The ensemble's performances have been described as "the most engaging chamber music playing…generous, voluptuous sound…well delineated…a poignancy of emotion" (Early Music America).
As we approach 2015 and our 10th year, we are very excited to produce our first CD!
We chose the repertoire from among our audiences’ favorite pieces over the past 8 years of performances:
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's Cello Concerto in a minor, Wq 170 with Kate Haynes, cello; Georg Philipp Telemann's Concerto for Recorder and Traverso in e minor, TWV 52:e1 with Héloïse Degrugillier, recorder and Teddie Hwang, traverso; Telemann's Viola Concerto in G major, TWV 51:G9 with Sarah Darling, viola, and Antonio Vivaldi's "La Folia."
All the soloists are nationally and internationally known, and perform throughout the world. We are thrilled to count them among our regular collaborators! And we are equally proud to have a wonderful group of dedicated musicians backing them up.
We can’t wait to share clips from our recent recording session.

How You Can Help
The talented and spirited musicians of Les Bostonades have just finished recording the audio materials for this release, but many steps remain before we can share the finished CD with you.
Recording a CD is expensive work, and we need your help to raise the $7500 needed to make this recording possible. Funds will go toward post-processing, mastering, and manufacturing the CD, expenses which include hiring a recording engineer; editing and mastering the audio tracks; graphics and design for packaging; disc replication; disc, jacket, and booklet printing; shipping, and more. Every donation makes a huge difference, no matter the amount. We, Les Bostonades, are a non-profit organization and all your donations are tax deductible.
Thank you very much for your support!
Risks and challenges
The musicians have already logged hours of learning, rehearsing, and recording the audio material for the CD, and the editing process has begun. We have the talent and commitment of many dedicated artists at our disposal, and all that remains is obtaining and assembling the necessary materials to convert this energy into a polished recording. With your help, we can obtain the necessary funding for the costs listed above and achieve our dream of capturing our music on disc.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
