UPDATE #21 - Status, setup software

Hi Backers,

let me give you a quick update.

  • The painting material issue looks solved.
  • In case of orientation tracker's battery issue we must change the structure of electronics a little bit and replace the gyro chipset. As we see, it could be ready on next week.
  • To solve the last issue we have to change the central computer OS's file system to read only. For that we have to modify the controller software. We contracted with a software development company, they are already working on it.

We have finished the first version of head and backrest, now we are waiting for the laser cutting.

Let me show you Yaw VR setup app what you will get next to the simulator. You can setup the wifi, the limitations and the controlling parameters with it.

You can select your device from the "Available devices" list

I hope: 1) It works well with Pimax 5K+ 2) The HMD compensates accurately and instantly for the movement of Yaw VR. Don't want no motion sickness!

@Schiller, @Greig, only one techical issue left (two were solved), I hope in a few days I can estimate the shipping time.

Great update. It sounds like there are very few "blockers" now. Is there an expected shipping date for backers yet?

Nicely done, when do you expect to start shipping the standard edition? and how long after that you expect the shipping of the special edition? Please leave response. Thank you in advance.
