WE have a very loving & dedicated listenership, but we also know our numbers aren't going to get us Blue Apron sponsorship anytime soon. IN FACT: We wouldn't do ads even if they wanted us to.
WGVH does NOT believe is begging it's listeners for money or subjecting them to ad-based content, but we have been recording since day one with a shared Snowball mic. While the sound quality is acceptable, it could and should be a lot better. And frankly the mic is dying. So rather than just re-buy subpar equipment, we'd like to have the sound match the 6-12 hours of editing Danno puts into every episode of WGVH. And now that we have an actual "podcast studio", we are ready for the next step.
If we could afford even this paltry amount of money, we'd buy it ourselves. But we can't. Life is expensive, yours and ours. We get it.
We have the set we want all picked out. The price of this Kickstarter covers said set and the percent Kickstarter takes from a successful project. No more. Any rewards comes straight out of Danno's own pocket, cause hell, it's the least we can do (and afford). In the unexpected case we somehow raise more than our goal, any extra cash will go back into the show as well.
We promise to never do this again.
