      I too am :(
You know what the Ork says though: "Orkses is never defeated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"
So we may be going down, but we are going down swinging. Tomorrow I will be looking to you backers on how you would like to proceed and what you want to see from us.
      Stay tuned!

Suggestion: get Near Space onto immediately. Get the game listed. Get people talking about it. See about getting some previewers to write about the game / create a video review of the game. Let's get a gameplay video up here and on BGG so people understand how the game works.

Your obvious enthusiasm got me to pledge. I suspect others will, too, but if people start talking about the game over there -- there's nowhere to talk about it right now except the general Kickstarter subforum -- you could really build some momentum.

This is a very good question. Many companies that have no intention of entering into the commercial market place will price their offerings below the "retail" value. Obviously this resets the suggested retail price in the eyes of the consumer and the retailer. We are encouraging retailers to support this product and the first step in that direction is protecting the retail value of the product. As to the money above and beyond the retail value, that is set aside to counter the ever growing postage rates. Many Kickstarters have been successful only to see fulfillment of the rewards destroy the creators and any chance of future projects. We are in this for the long haul and I want to be able to provide you with expansions for NEARSPACE for years to come.

Interesting idea. Love to see more of the gameplay and deck ideas.

Question: You have the SRP listed at $25.00 in your description, yet the basic pledge for the game is $30. Almost every KS I've seen has had the basic pledge at most equal to the retail price and many times $5-10 lower to bring in KS backers. What is our incentive (besides the few stretch goal rewards) to back this game now if we can buy it cheaper at retail?
