The Hollows is an international live/work/exhibit artspace originated in October 2014 in a townhouse on Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn NY, providing artists with bedrooms and private and shared studio spaces, hosting group and solo shows, producing an exciting programming calendar and commissioning works, helping artists spatially and financially with a dedication to creating original content for the visitors.
Since our beginning in 2014, we organized 7 exhibitions, 2 art fairs and various exciting programming series such as artist talks titled 'Histories of Art' for which our artists present their microscopic takes on art history, and 'Nighttime at The Hollows', a live art program that is scheduled to open at 10pm on Saturdays, with a duration that expands beyond midnight -special lighted pieces that are inspired by the townhouse lay out of The Hollows and the night.
The Hollows, over the course of one year and a half, offered housing for 28 resident artists from 15 countries and exhibited works of 90 international artists generating more than 5000 visitors.
What we promise
After a successful 3 semesters, The Hollows is now expanding to a beautiful townhouse in Williamsburg, Brooklyn NYC with 5 floors and a private backyard for summer programming. We promise to make Williamsburg exciting again by adding an independent performance and exhibition venue in an area that sadly saw the closing of many art and music spaces in recent times.

Risks and challenges
As The Hollows Artspace, we calculated the minimum goal and we currently ask for this minimum to make our expansion possible. One challenge we may face is that it may take a longer time to enhance the new premises with permanent installations in case we only reach our minimum goal as massive permanent installations such as our current ceiling mural require large amounts of labor and art supplies. However we will be grateful if our transition to a new place becomes possible with your support, giving us a larger clean state to build a new unique artspace.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
