Redlegs finds a home in Brooklyn
It has been too long since I've reached out to all of you. For this, I am sorry. Making movies is an often unpredictable, time, energy and capital intensive process and the making of REDLEGS has brought new meaning to all of those terms. Regardless, I'm pleased to say that the film you all so generously helped me make will finally begin to see the light of day in the coming months.
REDLEGS will screen for the first time publicly at a sneak preview put on as part of the Brooklyn Arts Council's Scene:Brooklyn screening series next Thursday night at 10pm in Dumbo, Brooklyn. It will then have a week long theatrical run at the same venue, Dumbo's ReRun Gastropub Theater, beginning on Friday May 25th. It's international premiere will take place at the Aruba International Film Festival in late June.
Now that the film is finally completed, our focus can finally turn to sharing it with people and showing our gratitude to all those that helped make it a reality; everyone who contributed should be receiving their various backer gifts in the weeks before our theatrical run. If you haven't responded to our survey seeking addresses with which to send your rewards, please do: I can't eat all of these chili packets or hang all these posters myself :)
Thanks again for your continued support and patience. You all have no idea how much it means to me personally, and to so many individuals who worked tirelessly on this project. We're forever indebted. Godspeed.
