Introducing the alpini minivelo.
We are very excited to introduce you to the alpini minivelo, a practical yet effortlessly stylish mode of transport. The combination of single speed simplicity, adult sized frame and 20" wheels make the alpini minivelo an unstoppable force in today's congested world. It's a bike predominantly designed for anyone that needs to save on space and likes to transport their bike hassle free.
How alpini came to life.
The idea to introduce alpini to the UK was, as most things are, born of necessity. Living in a small flat that required a hike of several flights of stairs, meant that bicycles had to be locked up outside. This was great until we had two bikes stolen within a single month. Something had to be done. Of course we were not about to give up commuting into the city and definitely not prepared to give up the fun and simplicity of a single speed/fixie, nor were we about to downgrade on style. Thus, only the sizing could change.
With painstaking attention to detail we designed our logo and branding, pulling in help from friends and family. We then set about designing three striking minivelos, each very different in their appeal but all with the same basic principles of ease of use, style and practicality.
Now we need your help! To make alpini minivelos available to all we need funds in order to get these great bikes produced, marketed and of course shipped to the big wide world. We need backing to design different combinations and provide a wider range to suit everybody's eclectic tastes. We have up until now funded the project with our own time, dedication and resources but with no external backing, so this is where Kickstarter's awesome followers come in!
A fair price.
We want to cut out the middle man and stop extra charges being added by selling everything directly online to our customers. Our aim will be to always keep costs as low as possible so that alpini bikes can be available to anyone who wants a fun commute.
The difference between the 3.
Finch & Tufnell. Other than the obvious colour differences they are both made using excellent quality components to provide a long lasting and high performing bike. The frame is made of high tensile steel and weighs only 9kg, making it a very manouverable.
A dark charcoal frame complimented perfectly by a splash of metallic yellow.
A bold blue frame complimented by white and orange components. This is definitely a head turner.
The classic British look, combined with superior quality components give Curzon a familiar yet highly desirable appeal.
Curzon also weighs only 9kg and has a high tensile steel frame, however with it's alloy pedals, straight handlebar and diamond stitched seat, it has an air of superiority about it.
Integrated Handlebar Baskets and Bells
The integrated handlebar basket, made of steel, has a strong, unique and stunning effect.
Our retro style bell is both sunlight and water resistant, keeping it looking fresh in all seasons.
We pledge to give £5 from every bike sold to Mary's Meals who provide life-changing meals to some of the world’s poorest children every school day.

Risks and challenges
We have established excellent relationships with our suppliers around the world for all of our products and doubt that they will let us down.
Having said that, things can go wrong that are beyond anyone's control, natural disasters can get in the way etc. and we can't let those issues be passed on to our customers. We want to build a loyal and committed alpini family and that won't happen unless we create a brand that everyone trusts. We are on hand with quick responses to any email queries that come in and always resolve any problem that might arise. We want safe and happy riders!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
