On the 12th of April at 1.53PM our campaign has reached its goal!!!

I would like to thank you very much for all the great support, it looks like I will not have to live under the bridge! :)

I have been working on this project for more than a year, and with the campaign being funded I am able to take it further. I promise to get the best possible product to your hands!

Lots of you are asking if there will be different options available of the frame colour. The answer is YES!

I am planning red, yellow and black.

Also, Ncore V1(D) will be available with a choice of LED light as seen in picture (plus yellow too).

 Thank you again!

“@NUDEcnc Might be able to do an RGB LED with your existing setup... Something like this assuming it's a 5mm LED:
      http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14275/bus-286/Aquacomputer_Aquaero_5mm_LED_Muli-Color_Module_-_RGB_34930.html

Please keep looking into an RGB LED, it may be possible.”

Yes, you could fit this led into the Ncore. You just need modified LED sand the head to make it square head shape

“I also recommend making a poll about people's color preferences for the LED, and for the frame color just to see what is desired. Even including colors that you are not currently planning on using.
I also recommend putting pictures of different frame colors if you have them already.
Question: Will people be able to pre-order this after the kickstarter has ended?”

I will contact people what are they preference in regards to final colours.

I hope to make this product available to people outside Kickstarter most likely via my website. I need to arrange many thinks, like distribution packaging etc.

@Kevin From the FAQ: "Ncore is designed to be used with liquid metal"

    5. Kevin Shafer on

do you suggest the use of TIM or Liquid Metal? or do you suggest going direct from block to die?

      Hi
I was considering nickel/chrome plating of some parts. Unfortunately, from my professional experience, any electroplating is a big risk, especially now with, where the project is. I’m sure you are aware of risks like pealing, colour change etc. That’s why I used a brass top that has a yellow/ gold colour which goes well with most of the colours.

An RGB option is something to be taken into consideration in future, but it’s not as easy as it sounds. To implement RGB in the Ncore I would have to design a special electronic circuit for it. As Ncore was sold 100+ pieces cost of developing and manufacturing RGB circuit would be too challenging at the moment. However, Ncore will be featured with a LED light of your chosen colour.

Maybe a stretch goal for RGB lighting?

Exciting stuff! Two pieces of feedback.
Would like to see a silver/chrome/nickel option for the frame. Lot of watercooling parts are nickel, so I imagine people might like to stick with that look. Along the same line, might be nice to see nickel or copper plated options for the block top. Again, just to play along with the rest of the market and allow for well themed builds.
I would also love to see an rgb led option. I'm seeing 5mm leds from xspc and aquacomputer while browsing frozencpu. Im sure there are many other more generic options out there. Aiming for compatibility with popular lighting systems, like Asus's Aura Sync, would be nice too.
