WHAT IS MULTIPLICITY
Multiplicity is a music project which embraces our diversity by drawing on the strengths of our uniqueness. Featuring 8 songs about living this journey we call life: surviving, conquering, finding love, reflections goodbyes, regrets, hopes and dreams, relayed through a myriad of musical styles. Captured through the skills and sounds of an A team of musicians and production crew assembled from the around the world - from Canada, USA, Europe, Asia Pacific, of various age groups and stylistic genres, with each song capturing their unique sounds, bound by the thread of Michelle's commitment to landscaping a song with an open approach to music making, Multiplicity also features Michelle's multiple hats worn here - singing, playing, music directing, producing, songwriting, arranging,and producing video concepts.
Music has always been for me a tool - to empower, to heal, to express, to celebrate and embrace our humanity.
Multiplicity allows us me to engage the power of music in celebrating our strengths, our humanity - by embracing our uniqueness and diversity as individuals. As such, I have also included some pledge options for your personal participation in the embracing of Multiplicity.
Your funding will help my music, music videos, and their social message, reach a wider global audience.
There are 8 music tracks in total for this project; of which 2 ballads have been released with their music videos within the last 2 years. There are now 6 more upbeat song tracks to release, along with their music videos. At this juncture, there are 3 music videos already filmed and completed in Los Angeles ("Escape"), Italy ("Free to Fall"), Spain ("Goodbyes") and Singapore ("Escape"/"Ignorable Buzz"), targeted for worldwide release from Jan 2018, and therefore needing a marketing and promotion budget; Have 1 more to be sound recorded and filmed in Melbourne("Inches Within Splat") and Singapore this November, and 1 more to be edited ("Little Roundy Face") in Singapore, targeted for release after Feb 2018.
Risks and challenges
All the music tracks will be completed by early December this year, before the official concert launch on 29 Jan 2018 at The Esplanade Theaters by the Bay.
The 3 music videos which are ready, will need to be marketed and distributed first. Followed by the production of 1 - 2 more remaining music videos. The funds raised will go towards putting the music videos ready, out there. As this is going on an independent distribution track, it has the challenge of going against the budget of long established major distributors. Hence the results, and exposure reach expected will have to be adjusted.
If the marketing funds are absorbed into marketing, the music video production of the remaining 2 tracks will have to be scaled down.
