The Solo Stove Bonfire, the worlds most unique fire pit, pushes the limits of both combustion airflow efficiency and minimalist outdoor design. It was painstakingly engineered to provide a backyard fire experience that cannot be duplicated. Using our patented design and specialized construction process, we have created the most beautiful single unit fire pit ever. Prepare yourself to be wowed by the Bonfire's mesmerizing flames and come closer together with friends and family outdoors.
Each portion of the bonfire is made of the highest grade 304 stainless steel and perfectly measured and formed. The bonfire presented us with some unique design challenges that required us to create custom tools. These tools, along with a precision construction process, and intricate multi-step finishing and polishing process result in a product that is both beautiful and durable.
The Bonfire is designed with a double wall to maximize the airflow of the burning process. The bottom holes allow oxygen to the feed the fire from below while simultaneously channeling warm oxygen up between the walls of the stove. This burst of preheated oxygen feeding back into the fire through the top holes causes a secondary combustion that results in a cleaner and more complete burn.
A more complete burn means no more half burnt logs to deal with. It also means very little smoke which means no more dodging smoke that seems to follow your every move.
A more efficient burn also means your wood will burn much longer compared to an open fire.
What Makes The Bonfire Special?
Engineered Airflow
Our proprietary design allows the Bonfire to utilize airflow in the burning process like no other fire pit. Perfectly sized and placed air intake holes are located on the outside bottom and inside top of the fire pit. Each hole has been spaced with precision. The bottom holes of the fire pit draws in oxygen to further fuel the fire from underneath. The air from the bottom holes also travels up through the double wall, being heated along the way and finally channeled out the inner top holes. This entire airflow process is continual and has been deliberately engineered to maximize efficiency.
Fire Ring
The fire ring is formed from a single piece of 304 stainless steel. It is deep drawn with precision tooling and hand polished. The fire ring is specifically designed to keep the fire centered and even. It sits securely on the top and when turned upside down, nests inside for simple storage.
Easy To Use
The Bonfire’s singular construction completely removes the need for parts and assembly. There is literally no setup. The Bonfire won't scorch the ground under it so it's safe to use on your porch, grass or patio. It was designed so standard sized firewood logs can be stacked inside. After an initial fire has started, the airflow process will begin to help the wood ignite. There is no need to wrestle with burning logs or dodge smoke and sparks.

Our Story
Solo Stove has been making high-end wood burning backpacking and camp stoves since 2011. Our products have been tested in the deserts of Jordan by Backpacker Magazine’s editor-in-chief, Dennis Lewon, and pushed to the limits in the hands of survivalists like Matt Graham (Discovery Channel’s Dual Survival) and Joel Lambert (Discovery Channel’s Lone Target). We’ve won numerous awards including gear of the year awards from 50 Campfires and Section Hiker. But what we’re most proud of is being a part of people’s outdoor adventures.
We love the outdoors and we do what we do because making gear that helps people get outside and spend time together is meaningful to us. In today’s busy hustle and bustle lifestyle, we feel there is an ever-increasing need for more of this.
We realize that even though people want to get outdoors together, it’s not easy. Not everyone has time to go on an extended multi-day backpacking or camp trip with friends or family. That’s why we’re making the Solo Stove Bonfire. We’re making it easier for you to enjoy the best part of an outdoor adventure in your own backyard – a killer BONFIRE!
We’ve engineered the Bonfire to be the ultimate backyard fire pit. But the meticulous engineering isn’t what’s most important. What’s most important is how easy it will now be to head outside and enjoy the roaring glow of a Bonfire and the company of friends and family.

The good news is that this isn’t our first rodeo. Solo Stove has been selling award-winning products since 2011. This is not the first product we’ve developed so we’re confident in our ability to deliver to the Kickstarter community. We have the designs finished, materials purchased, tooling completed, prototypes tested and our partner factory is ready to go. Receiving the support from the Kickstarter community will help us start and scale production.
Quality is very important to us. We will have our quality team inspect production on the line and after production is completed. We don't foresee any major problems with production but in the unlikely event that quality issues do arise, we'll be sure to inform all backers right away. We take pride in our craft and we will only ship product that we are proud of.
Logistics and fulfillment plans are already in place to ensure safe arrival and prompt delivery to our backers. Again, it's unlikely that any major issue would arise but if anything comes up, you'll be the first to know.
