Tendrillar Woods will be the Seattle contribution to the Circle of Regional Effigies at Burning Man 2012. Embracing Radical Inclusion & Communal Effort, we’d like to like to invite anyone in the Pacific Northwest (and beyond) to participate in this project. We would far rather see 200 $5 contributions than a single $1,000 angel. If you’ve been looking for a reason to register on KickStarter, this is it!
SeaCoRE is bringing a Regional Effigy to Burning Man in August, and much of it will also be presented at Critical Massive in July. Our piece will be a small grove of trees supporting a bit of cloudy sky; with a shaded resting place underneath for the weary and a climbable observation deck for the adventurous. This whimsical scene decorated with small art will evoke the spirit and character of the Pacific Northwest.
We are currently raising funds to cover the basic prototyping of this installation. Funds will be used to buy materials to build a 3D scale model and create build plans for the three construction teams, to ensure that everything will properly fit together when finally assembled.
