Imagine today's Americans making their own furniture, fixing their houses, building machines and getting others excited about their projects. People energized and inspired by other projects they see going on around them. The American Garage, a DIY show, does just that. Inspire and equip with knowledge and confidence. It is not just how to make or restore different items, but about doing projects that will help the individual become more self sufficient and self reliant. Are you dismayed at how dependent we have become on big companies, other countries? At The American Garage, we want to change this. The projects will have an element of supporting basic life needs. Would you like to be able to make things, but nowhere to learn them? The American Garage guides viewers through the process and will often restore old American made machinery, when we find that the best tool is an old one. But machinery will not be the only projects. Do you want to learn woodworking or mechanics? We do woodworking projects, mechanical projects, focusing on the crafts, skills and trades. How about growing your own food? We also have projects that will highlight agriculture- growing, harvesting, and preserving food. How about featuring projects that fuel the imagination, and inspire dreams like building boats, muscle cars or airplanes! The American Garage produces projects like the David Bradley Project, showing folks how to restore this old tractor. We have 6800 viewers at the time of this writing, and our audience is growing, but we want to bring The American Garage to many more people.

Additional Projects We'd Love To Do-

- Build a Boat! - $4,000

- Restore an airplane (Bellanca Super Viking)- $60,000
- Build a muscle car- $15,000

We want to inspire as many Americans as we can, to create a movement of returning to being a nation of producers, not just consumers. Build something! Make a pie! Build an airplane! Restore a tractor! Do something that will sustain life, and make life better for those around us. This is what The American Garage is all about.
Risks and challenges
The scope of work on a project- especially a restoration project- can sometimes grow. A main part could be bad, but it is not known until the device is taken apart. Something is rusted beyond repair, etc. We have taken this into account, and planned a cushion for the unforeseen problems that can and will arise in the type of projects that we will do. This way, we can stay on task and on schedule.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
