About Unitas Ensemble
Unitas Ensemble was created as a platform to showcase the works of Latin American composers, as well as create an environment to unite members of the Latino community, the art community, and the city of Boston around a truly magical art form. We truly believe that the works of Revueltas, Villa-Lobos, and Piazzolla are just as important as Brahms, Copland, and Stravinsky.
Unitas Ensemble also hopes to support new and budding composers of Latino descent by commissioning new works and providing a stage to premiere these new works. In doing this, we will be able to build a collection of new music from Latin American countries that future generations will be able to enjoy.
Finally, Unitas Ensemble seeks to reach the next generation of music enthusiasts through its’ Arts Outreach program, which will be concentrated in schools underserved by Arts Education, as well as schools in predominantly Latino communities.
Unitas Ensemble strives to be a cultural leader and inspiration in the Boston community, and the voice of Latin American music, which has been overlooked for far too long.

We are also excited to feature a North American premiere by young composer Carlos Agreda on our opening program, tieing into our composer commissioning program and our commitment to music of the next generation.
Risks and challenges
Your Help goes a long way!
Your support helps us fund our opening concert. As we grow and expand, our organization will be able to provide more concerts to more people in the city of Boston, as well as expand and grow our educational outreach program, which we hope will help incredible numbers of students receive a music education in school that they wouldn't otherwise receive.
Starting an orchestra from scratch is a tough undertaking, but we are positive that this project will have a positive impact on our community, and your support will help us reach that goal!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
