Hello, my wife Suliya and I would like to introduce the EatWell plate, we believe there is a huge importance on healthy living, eating and family togetherness.
Family meals helps nurture children into healthy, well-rounded adults. Frequent family dinners have a positive impact on children's values, motivation, personal identity, and self-esteem.
Eating dinner together as a family also encourages healthy eating habits and provides a model for children to carry with them into adulthood.
The EatWell Plate is designed with the family in mind, providing real-time feedback and information about your current meal, all while aligning you with your healthy lifestyle goals !
According to Fitness.gov: " Unhealthy eating habits have contributed to the obesity epidemic in the United States: about one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese and approximately 17% (or 12.5 million) of children and adolescents aged 2—19 years are obese."

With this in mind, we would like to introduce The EatWell Plate; eating healthy balanced meals has never been easier !
The EatWell Plate will track all your meals as you eat them, with the ability to automatically identify, weigh and analyze your food intake while keeping you on track with your dieting goals.
How does The EatWell Plate work ?
The EatWell Plate will be equipped with object recognition cameras and high accuracy sensors that measure weight, each sensor and camera then provides information to the internal computer which will provide feedback to you, the user !
Information of the food you are eating will be obtained from USDA and complex programming magic, all in the background, all you need to do is set up your dieting goals, and start eating healthy !
We also plan to have Microwave, Refrigerator and Dishwasher Safe features on The EatWell Plate.
The EatWell Plate will have a long lasting internal battery that can be easily charged by stacking the plate on top of a charging base; having multiple plates is even easier, just place the plates on top of each other, and they will form a charging stack, as you can see:

I purchased all the components I need to get the basic concept going. I tactfully acquired my wife's favorite cutting board to mount the prototype on (please don't tell her). Here is my work station with the prototype.
As you can see, in the middle is the CPU stack with LCD mounted with sensors are attached. (I did all the work myself - don't judge).
The prototype turns on, and I am getting basic feedback from the sensors, now I am doing research on how to program it in order to get it ready for calibration.
I will hire a mobile application engineer to design an application to communicate with the plates WiFi and Bluetooth.
I want to get a 3D printer so I can make an enclosure for the components, and start testing it out. If i can't get the printer as of now, I already found some companies that print for you based on uploaded designs.
I plan to get an engineer to help me streamline the internal components so it can be more compact. Once I have my new schematics, I will assemble it myself, and start the testing process.
Next I need to find a manufacturing company to produce The EatWell Plate and advertise !
There are risks and challenges with any venture, and the biggest challenge is getting The EatWell Plate calibrated and identifying food properly !
