Project Juice Delivers Locally-Sourced, Organically Grown, Cold-Pressed Juice to San Francisco Bay Area Businesses and Residents.
What: Project Juice is the personal mission of two young, passionate entrepreneurs to nourish Bay Area citizens with the freshest, most nutrient-dense fruit and veggie juice on the planet. Our juices are cold-pressed, raw, organically grown and sourced from local farmers (a.k.a. “farm to bottle”). Project Juice will be available for local and home/business delivery as well as through pickup at select locations throughout the Bay Area.
Cold-pressed refers to the method of juicing we practice. Most juice is made using a centrifugal juicer, which causes the juice to quickly oxidize and lose nutrients due to an excessive amount of heat exposure. The Hydraulic Juice press minimizes heat production and oxidation by extracting the juice directly from the pulp through an applied force measured at more than 2000 lbs (see our awesome video for more information). Juice made using the cold-press method typically has 3-5x the amount of nutrients and 3x longer shelf life than juice made using a centrifugal juicer.
Project Juice is eco-friendly and sustainable:
- Our produce comes directly from local farms near the Bay Area.
- By-product (pulp) from juicing is shipped back to the farmers to use as compost to help grow the next batch of produce.
How: With your help we will be able to fund the remaining costs necessary to get our business off the ground. Your funding will go towards build-out costs for our kitchen to meet SF compliance, industrial refrigeration units, a user-friendly website, and license and permit fees.
Why: Because we believe that San Francisco deserves the best and it's our goal to deliver it. Think about all of the great ideas that we can generate by allowing our minds to run on fresh, cold-pressed juice instead of your average cola or energy drink. The proof is in the juice!
Who: Project Juice was founded by a husband and wife couple obsessed with living a healthy lifestyle. Rachel is a certified healthcare practitioner and Greg is a CPA and MBA. Our third co-founder, Chef Dave, is a local organic farmer and entrepreneur who will ensure that we secure the best ingredients and support our local farmers.
