“Where the Water Pours: Sakonnet Point, Rhode Island”
“Where the Water Pours” will be a video documentary that examines the history of Sakonnet Point and the Sakonnet Point Lighthouse, as well the fishing industry and those who make a living working at The Point.
The funds raised will help cover costs such as helicopter charter and equipment rentals, such as an underwater camera housing and multiple GoPros.
Risks and challenges
Some unique challenges that we face include recording professional audio and video in the inhospitable ocean environment. Because of this we will take advantage of specially designed equipment to meet these harsh demands.
The funds that we raise will allow us to charter a helicopter, as well as provide funding for equipment rentals. The use of helicopter aerial footage will truly allow us to create a world class documentary. Additionally, we have plans to rent an underwater camera housing as well as a GoPro camera. The GoPro camera will be mounted to the rigging of a fishing vessel, which will provide for dramatic action shots at sea.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We will use the funds to directly support material costs associated with the documentary. These include:
Underwater camera housing rental
We estimate the total costs to be somewhere around $3,500.
