About this project
Aren’t you tired of bulky TV remote controls with trivial forms? How many buttons at standard remote do you use? Research shows that we watch TV to flip through channels and to change sound level. We designed extra handy Stealth bar with irregular shape. It is simplified to perfection. You can operate channels and volume with one finger without changing its position. Buttons don’t require signature because Stealth bar is so intuitive that can be used blindfold.
Is Stealth bar compatible with your TV set? Calm down! It is learning and can beep any infrared signals from any remote control. Learning process is as follows: You are pointing your original remote at Stealth bar, press any buttons you use and memorize sent signals using button SET.
Stealth bar is made not for your standard remote replacement but for your absolute relaxation. 3D carbon style makes it your personal customized gadget.
Additionally: you can open your favorite drinks without getting up from the sofa! It is solid. Our remote control called "bar" not only because of the shape. The main advantage is secret - it is made by stealth technology. Military trials revealed its invisibility to enemy radars!
You can learn Stealth bar to beep signals from any remote control (TV, music system, etc.) Stealth bar has no incredible amount of buttons that you never use. It has only the most used buttons: Channel +/-, Volume +/-, and ON/OFF. As a remote is learning, it can be learnt you have used to: channels will be “up-down”, while volume will be “left-right” or on the contrary. Case of Stealth bar is made in carbon style. Coating is abrasion-resistant. It is used even outdoors on cars and serves for years. You will not wipe it with your fingers.

Stealth bar includes a learning function. You can change the signals of individual buttons. You can learn the code with all the keys on Stealth bar from other remote controls. The operation as follows:
- Press the SET key for 3-4 seconds.
- Press one key (e.g., ON/OFF) on Stealth bar as a learn key.
- Place your teach remote control head to head (abort 10 – 40 mm) from the Stealth bar. Then press and hold a key to teach on the teach remote control about 5 seconds.
- Press the SET key again.
- Try to use button on Stealth bar (has it remembered signal?)
- If you want to exit learn mode, press the SET key.
- If the learn fail, repeat actions again.
Stealth bar is an eco-friendly product. It does not emit harmful substances into the atmosphere. It does not need special recycling. As you know, only lithium battery needs to be utilized in special way.
What's the money for?
First of all we need money for tooling. Our product needs a few steel molds for further detail casting. If we want to offer best prices we need a wholesale purchase of electronic components. Production, assembly, packing and delivery require money also.Manufacturing schedule
The biggest costs for us is tooling. We need steel molds for plastic details. Molds production will take up to 6 weeks but there is no batch production without molds.
Selection and purchase of componentsWe have big experience of working with China OEM contractors. You can be responsible for quality only if you choose electronic component yourselves and deliver them from authorized dealer. This process will take up to 4 weeks and will be held in parallel with tooling process.
PCB production will take up to 3 weeks after components purchasing.
Casting of plastic details will take up to 1 week after tooling and PCB production.
Stealth bar assembly is partly robotic production, and partly manual labor. Stealth bar will be made at factory producing remote controls for the most famous electronics brands. Our OEM producer is ISO 9001:2000, ISO14000 certified. Factory occupies 45000 square meters and has more than 500 employees. First batch assembly will take up to 2 weeks after PCB production and plastic details casting.
Quality control and packaging
Quality control is needed to identify defective products. We pay special attention on this point of production process. Quality control process is performed with individual employee, not involved in manufacturing. Our contractor has more than 60 quality control staff. Our package provides nice appearance and safety overseas delivery. QC will take up to 1 week after assembly.
International delivery will take up to 3-5 weeks after QC and packaging.
Risks and challenges
The main risk for us is to delay production of sleel molds. We plan to make final version in 4-5 weeks after withdrawal money from Kickstarter. Metalworking is a laborious process that involves 3D milling, grinding, and manual fitting. Quality of the mold can be determined only after setting into machine and completing the cycle of casting. We may need to adjust manually final version 2-5 times for perfect result. We have been working with the plant, where we manufacture our molds. They have already produced for us molds for manufacturing pieces from various materials (plastics, polymers, Aluminum).
The next risk is quality of components for PCB. Components are double-checked and supplied only from reliable manufacturers and authorized dealers. We don’t use outdated, doubtful and “no name” components.
