Daggers Drawn is Here!

Daggers Drawn Backers...

I am delighted to announce the long awaited publication of our book!

You will be very proud of the results. It is a hefty beautifully printed volume weighing over 3 pounds.

I attach some pictures of the special Kickstarter edition of the book that features a hardened case. You will be happy to hear that on both the case and in the book I have published your name and the names of the over 1400 backers of the project.

I am anxious to get the book to you to see and hold. Let me share with you the next pages in the Daggers Drawn story.

Next Thursday, May 2, I will sit at the printers and hand sign 1800 copies of the book. Meanwhile, at a separate facility the hardened cases are being assembled. When the cases are completed, they will be sent to the book printers where the signed copies will be inserted into the cases.

To get the books to you I have enrolled an international fulfillment house. The Daggers Drawn backers came from 47 different countries so I will be employing warehouses in Philadelphia, London and Hong Kong to help me in the task. I will be shipping books to the warehouses the week of May 6.

The US and Canadian backers will have their orders fulfilled out of Philadelphia so they will likely get their books first. The backers in Europe and Asia will be delayed as the books need to find their way from Baltimore to their destination warehouse. I will keep you updated on the shipping details as information comes to me.

When you get the books, please let me know. If you like it, please spread the word! I will be selling the book at www.daggersdrawn.net for those interested. The retail price of the book will be $35.00 (without the special Kickstarter hardened case). I have been told it has the print quality of a much more expensive book. With the hardened case it is being valued at above $50!

Now to the real important part... The book launch party. Invitations via Evite were sent out to all those who said they intended on coming in the Kickstarter Survey. However... many of you have yet to reply.

If you want to attend the party, Saturday, May 4, 6-8PM at Boordy Vineyards, MD let me know ASAP!!!  We need to book caterers etc! If you do come, you can collect your book at the party.

In the months ahead, I will be doing a one man PR tour for the book. I will be travelling around the US and abroad doing public events and media interviews. I will alert you all of my travels as I would be delighted to meet you when I am in your area. Plus, any advice you may have as to places and groups for me to visit would be welcome.

Thank you all once again for your tremendous backing of this project. I think you will be very pleased with the results!

Best

Kal

Disappointed that I have not received my copies of the book, or any other communication from you. What gives?

First of all, thank you for the update. I'm looking forward to seeing the book.

Secondly, you asked for suggestions for book tour locations. Here's one suggestion:
Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, CA. It's a large private bookstore that sells books, of course, but also many other items booklovers enjoy. It holds many presentations by authors, some who just do book signings, and others who will talk about their book then do signings. Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor was recently there for a booksigning. You can contact Vroman's by telephone or e-mail.
      Telephone: (626) 449-5320
      E-Mail: email@vromansbookstore.com

      Hope this helps.

      Great Looking Book.
If you are coming to San Francisco Bay Area, you should contact Kepler's book store. They do lots of author events and have an email campaign and website to alert interested book buyers about events.
Here is their information: Kepler's Books 1010 El Camino Real Menlo Park, CA 94025 (650) 324-4321. Have a great trip.
