***The Monarch is a new addition to the Trench Watch Series. It is a third dial choice for ALL reward tiers, but we cannot edit the wording of the reward tiers at this time. All backers will be able to choose which watch(es) they want via a survey at the close of the campaign (Westminster, Monarch and/or Vergennes).
***NEW! Scroll down to learn how to get additional leather and/or nato straps with your pledge!
Wristwatch history goes way back. Back to the time of pocketwatches. Out of critical necessity to know the exact time at any given moment, World War I soldiers began strapping their pocket watches onto their wrists to be able to check the time at a quick glance. Hence, the wristwatch was born!
As a watch enthusiast, I have pined for these "trench"watches but never acquired one as I knew it would become a museum piece and never see my wrist. Why? Because these were made at a time before shatter and scratch resistant sapphire crystals and water resistance and automatic movements and surgical grade corrosion resistant steel. In addition, they are quite expensive and large.
Many of today's watch companies have used similar cases and components but none have combined the reincarnation of these vintage timepieces with affordability...until now.
So, we designed our own versions of these historical artworks of horology from the ground up - no catalog parts here (except the reliable automatic movement) - and named them after the two oldest chartered towns in Vermont. However, ours come with carefree wearablilty (we sweat the details, so you don't have to)!
The Original Minimalist Watch
As can be seen, these "trench" watches were highly legible, simple, and with beautiful aesthetics. The dials were also typically without logos and without superfluous wording; the epitome of 'less is more.'

How to Back Our Campaign
Choose which reward tier you would like to back, click on it and follow the KS prompts to pledge. Important: Your credit card will not be charged until the end of the campaign and only if we reach our funding goal.
At the end of the campaign, we will send out a survey and you will be able to choose either the Westminster, Monarch and/or Vergennes watch as your reward. So, no need to decide now.
If you would like 3 or more watches, please message us here on KS and we will create a reward tier for you.
After you pledge, make sure to check our website's front page for a special giveaway only for KS supporters here!
And do not forget to "share this project" via the button at the top of this page to help extend the reach of this campaign.
As you know the Westminster (black dial trench watch) comes on a raw brown leather strap and the Vergennes (white dial) and Monarch (blue dial) come on durable black leather straps. So, if you would like both straps, increase your pledge amount by $12 (no additional shipping charges). When you do this, you will receive 2 leather straps of your choice.
There's more! We're adding the availability of a blue and green nato strap. Why blue and green? They're the original colors of ManchesterWatchWorks and they look great :)
So, if you would like the nato strap, increase your pledge by $10 (no additional shipping charges).
Feel free to get one (additional leather or nato) or both (additional leather and nato - pledge increase of $22) and we'll sort out all choices via a survey at the end of the campaign.
And here's how the watches would look with the different straps...

#2 Unlocked at $60k - To be determined by the "crowd" (that's you!)
We've Been Reviewed
Call us 'old-fashioned' but our business philosophy is simple - make a great product and stand behind it (as can be seen with our highly praised Kickstarter funded Tatoskok dive watch).
In addition, our company is built on the firm belief that high quality, beautifully designed timepieces can be made affordable for any wrist.
We also strive to give back to our community and our planet. As such, we strive to use eco-friendly packaging whenever we can.
Our reach only goes so far. That's where word of mouth comes in. So, tell all you know about the Westminster and Vergennes and get one while you can!
Thanks for your support!
Enjoy your time,

Risks and challenges
As with any project, there are always risks and delays that can arise due to a variety of factors beyond my control including supply chain and quality control issues as the components come from different manufacturers/suppliers all over the world. However, I am confident that I am well able to deal with any issues that may arise with the production as we have proven with our first successful delivery - the Tatoskok.
Having owned and worked on hundreds of watches, I know a well built watch when I see one. So, I have selected a manufacturer who is used by many, respected brands all over the globe and who also made the Tatoskok. As such, they have a proven track record when it comes to quality.
I have also selected a proven movement from Japanese movement manufacturer, Miyota/Citizen, of which there is generally ample availability. So rest assured, quality control will be high and customer service will be a priority.
In addition, your ManchesterWatchWorks timepiece will be covered by a twelve (12) month warranty effective from the shipping date. The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
