"Video Games Don't Need Color. Just Style."
Luke Plunkett - Kotaku
"It's obvious the lack of color won't hinder this game, or your character. Instead, it adds a sense of feeling that color would only shatter."
Jamie K - Game Skinny
"Project Monolith looks awesome!"
Sparth - 343 Industries
[Project: Monolith is a first person puzzle game about discovery, exploration and answering questions about the remote complex that is the games environment.]
[Players are left to explore the monolith and discover the purpose of the mysterious complex that it holds. During your journey you will answer questions about yourself, the complex and the nature of the world your voyage takes place in.]
[The gameplay of Project: Monolith consists of exploration, discovery and solving puzzles through environmental interactions. What you do will affect the environment around you and have a larger impact on the world, ultimately activating the complex and revealing its purpose.
As you traverse the monolith you will notice that the environment is both interactive and reactive, changing in response to your passage in ways that you might not have anticipated. As you play the game you will begin to understand how the world of project monolith works and how you can use that to your advantage.]
[Project: Monolith will be supporting the Oculus Rift! Project: Monolith is being developed with Epic’s UDK engine which includes integrated Oculus Rift compatibility.
The Oculus Rift is a next generation virtual reality headset that allows players to experience a new level of immersion. You can learn more about the Oculus Rift at their website here http://www.oculusvr.com/]
[The world of Project: Monolith is one filled with silhouettes, where everything is set in Black, White and shades of Gray. It is filled with ancient jungles, towering rock formations and technologically advanced structures.]
[Our core team met working on similar projects while attending college in Pittsburgh, PA. Making games is what we love to do (and we like to think we’re pretty good at it), so we decided not to stop after graduating in 2011. Now, after two years of working on Project: Monolith as a side project we’re ready to focus full time on it’s development and design. With your help we’ll be able to complete and release the game in 6-8 months.]
Why do we need help?:
[We’re an independent developer. We’ve been able to work on our own up until this point, but we need funding and help from some fellow developers to complete the final push of Project: Monolith’s development and release it in a timely fashion.]
How will funding be spent?:
[Your pledges will go towards software licenses, sound design, music, artists, programmers and pledge rewards. Towards making Project: Monolith the best game that it can be.]

Risks and challenges
[It takes a lot of time to build a game, especially with a small team like ours. That being said, you might be concerned with the amount of time that it will take for the finished game to be released. Luckily, we have a head start on development and are relying on kickstarter to enable us to finish the game. That means you can expect to play the game 6-8 months after a successful kickstarter campaign.]
[We will need to go through the Greenlight Process so there is no guarantee that we will be able to launch Project: Monolith on Steam. However we are confident that a successful kickstarter campaign is a good indicator of success on Greenlight as well.]
[This is really the first time that we’re showing Project: Monolith to the public, and while this is a game we’re incredibly passionate about we’ve never shown it to the public until now. In other words, we love this game, but we can only hope that you do too.
After seeing the warm reception of games like Portal, and Antichamber we’re sure that there are other first person puzzle fans like us out there. If you’re a fan of puzzle games, independent development, or just a great person, we need your help to see this though!
We appreciate all of your time and support and are immensely grateful for every pledge. No matter how small or large, it really means alot to us and we promise to use it to make a game that you’ll be proud of supporting.]
