Cartoon Climate Change: The Home Stretch!

Hello Kickstarter supporters: Many thanks for all your feedback over the past few months... and I'm happy to report that Grady and I have just finished a nearly-final draft of the book! Unfortunately we can't post the draft online, but we do have a page at Island Press (the book was featured in their spring catalog) and a page on Amazon.com. And we have a terrific review from Publishers Weekly: "Illustrated with deceptively simple black-and-white art that masterfully supports the text, this book provides a skillful tour of the issues that face our developing world and it serves as a model of how educational works of this sort should be crafted."

What's next:

* For the next two and a half weeks Grady and I get to work on final wordsmithing &c... and we could use your help! If you are in the USA and are interested in spending 3+ hours in the next 2 weeks wordsmithing and proofreading and squinting at small type (!) please email me ASAP; serious inquiries only because this will involve me printing out a hard copy and sending it to you ASAP via Priority Mail.

* On April 1st (hah!) Grady and I are turning in the final copy of the finished manuscript. At that point Island Press will take over for final copy-editing, printing, warehousing, etc.

* The book will be released on June 5! (If you're getting a copy as part of your Kickstarter reward, you might get your copy a week or three early, and in any case stay tuned for a survey where we'll ask for your address.)

* To go along with the book release, I'll be doing a Town Hall in Seattle on June 9, hopefully some events on the east coast later that week, and hopefully more... email me if you have ideas or invitations!

Many thanks,

Yoram and Grady
