Spirits, Beasts & Spells layout complete!
Good news, Wuxia heroes! Daniel Solis has completed his layout work on Tianxia: Spirits, Beasts & Spells!
Daniel turned over the files for both the digital and print on demand versions of the book to me today. That means I have been able to upload them to Drive-Thru RPG and RPG Now. Now I wait for the print files to be approved by the printer, after which I will be able to order a print proof to ensure the book prints as we expect it to before I make it available for sale.
As soon as I have received the print proof and can approve the quality of it, I'll be able to make those files "Live" so they can be purchased by the public and downloaded by our amazing backers. So for you backers, here's how that part will work:
Our backers at the Wandering Knight level and up will get free coupon codes for the PDF, meaning you can download the PDF version of the product for free from Drive Thru RPG and RPG Now. I can't wait for you to see what a wonderful job Daniel has done with the finished layout!
The Print on Demand version of the book is not free, the cost of that was not included in the Kickstarter campaign (check our rewards if you are unclear on this). However, to thank you all for your participation in the campaign, I intend to release a discount link to give you a special price on the printed edition. That discount will be for a limited time only, so keep your eyes on your emails and Kickstarter message box over the next few weeks!
For everyone who did not participate in the Kickstarter campaign at the Wandering Knight level and up, the products (both PDF and Print on Demand) will be available to the public at the same time. There will be a discount to the PDF if you buy it together with the Print on Demand version. This will all be available through Drive Thru RPG and RPG Now, and I'll link to the items for the public when those links become live.
Looking at the timing of this release, it is very possible this book will go live right around the time of Gen Con, which is unfortunate. I tried to get this done earlier in the year, but the timing just worked out this way. But one way or the other, the book is very close to release, and that is a very good thing.
I'll have another update when we get the print proof ready, or if there will be a delay (such as might happen if there is an error in the file that needs to be addressed). In the meantime, here is the cover image for the book!
Thank you again for your support, more news soon!
