When we started this project, it was due to our love of the craft beer community. We truly believe in growing this community, and we felt that the best way that we could do this was through spreading the Beer Advent tradition. Although we did not make the impact on the community that we hoped with the creation of the Beer Advent Calendar, we certainly felt the community’s support. Thank you for the excitement, kind words, sharing and caring about the Beer Advent Calendar Tradition. We are amazed by how many backers reached out to us personally to tell us how they loved the idea. You are the reason we started this kickstarter campaign, so thank you again for your support.
  
 
Ultimately the challenges of marketing a Christmas product during the summer and the large initial costs of the die-cutting process kept the Thirst Amendment Beer Advent Calendar from reaching its goal. We were adamant about making a quality product here in the USA, and this had unique challenges for which we hadn’t prepared enough. We know to be successful in the future we need a much larger order to bring down the cost of production, and a better distribution network to minimize handling and shipping fees. We feel that partnering with local craft beer stores and specialty shops will both boost our initial order size and reduce the distribution costs to consumers (so look for us in your local beer store soon!). Once we’ve made these partnerships and have our cutting dies made, many of the large costs will be behind us, and we can look at shipping direct to consumers again. Although we didn’t reach our funding goal, we’ve learned so much from the entire process of designing and marketing our Beer Advent Calendars

      I'm sorry to learn you didn't make your goal, but glad to hear that you will continue on. I think it is a wonderful idea, so well thought out, and I look forward to seeing it in a store soon.
