News Update

Posted by Jacob Schmidt (Creator)

Hi all!

If you haven't already heard the great news via our facebook page here is a short update on the UBP's progress.  Yesterday I met with a couple men, each the head of their own department of the city of St. Louis's waste department.  There we discussed logistics to our project.  3 amazing things came out of this meeting

1) I was informed this morning that Waste Management (an international company) is interested in working with me to paint their dumpsters, and want to give us money for it! We will see where it goes!
2) The heads of the departments said they would clean (sandblast) and prime all of the dumpsters for us. (this cuts out about 1,300 dollars that I had built in for equipment and primer, so that's amazing.
3) As a side comment it was thrown around the idea as if these few dumpsters turn out to be beautiful and they please the city, then we may be able to paint their fleet of ~70 trucks (probably on another UBP go around).

Great things are a brewin'!  The start date has been set to the first week in July.  I will be posting constant updates throughout the project, if you do not follow us on facebook please do! And if you do not believe in facebook, by all means email me and I will be glad to email you back choice pictures.

Can you let us know where the dumpsters are located when you paint them. I'd love to see the results!
