Next Steps for the Trinity Magnum/Plan B

Dear friends,

We are most grateful for all of your support up until this point.  Unfortunately, with less than 37 hours to go and at around 30% of our funding requirement, it's unlikely we will meet our goal.  However, we've listened to all of the community's feedback and have been working hard to offer an attractive purchasing alternative to our backers.  In addition, we will be offering two varieties of our motion controller technology available through our website with more details to follow.

Not meeting our goal has a few negative implications:

  • We cannot produce the unit at a large enough scale to keep costs at sub-$100 levels for the development kit
  • Devices will need to be built/shipped on an on-demand/adhoc basis

However, in offering the Magnum to developers at low volume using laser-sintered enclosures, there are also a few positives:

  • We can start shipping well before our estimated December delivery date
  • Estimated 30 day lead time on orders

Again, we thank you all for your support and invaluable feedback.  Over the next few weeks we will be doing a Post Mortem and going more in depth on our post Kickstarter plans via Road to VR.

We continue to look forward to providing the VR development community with a low cost and versatile motion control platform and encourage you all to try it for yourself at one of our upcoming events demoing an exclusive copy of Z0NE, developed by PixelRouter.  Stay tuned!

Many thanks,

The TrinityVR Team

Sorry to hear this - but, this is an awesome product, and I'm sure you'll learn from this experience, and make Trinity even more awesome!
