Current stretch goal: $5500 to unlock Stretch Goal 5: An exclusive crossover print Tezla/Nia by versatile creator/writer/artist Dimitris Moore of the comic series Tezla. PDF backers will get an electronic version. Those backing print copies of the book will get an actual print.
Nia Caler was part of an experimental military program gone wrong. Now she must protect her love ones and ascertain the true reason for the disappearance of her father.
Unfortunately, just like Destiny (aka Spirit), Nia was also injected with the mysterious serum. Why was she used as a test subject? What are the effects of the serum?
The Nia Caler story is part of the Spirit's Destiny Universe, wherein she plays a big role. She learns about her abnormal abilities and the gruesome past she once lived.
Writer Dorphise Jean has been developing Nia Caler for a couple of years now. They want a hero similar to their persona and appearance. They see a need for more comics with powerful black women as #RepesentationMatters. This series is based on a similar, true story inspired by the creator’s best friend, Christina.

Julie Anderson showcases diversity in uncommon themes that emphasize strong women in fantasy and sci-fi settings. Her inspirations from childhood can be seen in her art via a fusion of Japanese and Afro- American themes that she persistently uses today. Julie’s interesting work originates from influences such as Akira Toriyama for his timeless and lovable characters that resemble both strength and self improvement, as well as Egon Schiele’s dark themes on his views on self expression. Of course, there are many more artists that helped shape her views and creative approach on the variety of art she currently produces. In 2015 Julie’s work was in a group showing, ‘Afrofuturism’ at the ‘Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture’, Harlem, New York. She also created Promo art for ‘BCAF 2017’, San Francisco, California.
Her illustrations range from digital media to the more traditional mediums: acrylic, watercolor, ink, and pencils.

Laurie has been drawing for more than 15 years and professionally inking for 8. She is also a graphic, editor, and cosplayer! She has done work for Valiant Entertainment, Kymera Press, and many more, and co-owns the independent publisher Unlikely Heroes Studios.
