Stretch Goal #2 Achieved!

A midnight update for Captain Cootalot's crew!

Fair winds greet us!

After a slow start, today went on to be one of the strongest we've had! Thanks to all our new backers, and to the pledge-uppers who've helped us! We've sailed past two Stretch Goals! The game will now have cinematic animations at the start, as well as at the gripping climax of the story!

As a bonus, backers will now be able to download an extended Nelly Cootalot comic along with the rest of their rewards. In this strip, we'll see Baron Widebeard experimenting with the most deadly of aerial weaponry: Dart Birds.

The next stretch goal is a native Mac and Linux Port at £18,500. Let's see if we can beat it as the final hours of the campaign approach!

The big 48...

At midday tomorrow (BST) the final 48 hours will begin. And what better time than lunchtime to share the campaign on facebook, twitter, and by shouting wildly in your places of work?

Why should your workmates, distant relatives and old schoolfriends go through their lives without hearing about Nelly Cootalot? Why, I say!

And also...

Don't forget, you can now pledge via PayPal. It won't show up on the Kickstarter total, but it will still get you the same rewards and count towards Stretch Goals.

And here's a little shout-out for the Alternative Magazine Online who've published an interview with me in support of our campaign. Thanks to Martin Mulrooney!

No Ali, thank YOU! I'm proud to be a backer of this game and it was an absolute pleasure interviewing you for my website. Hopefully we can do another interview after the game has launched :)

The KS is a limited window to raise the funds needed to make the game as good as possible. I really don't think you need to worry. If ABK was "all about the money" then he would not have made a freeware game and put it up for anyone to download. I think its more a concern to acquire the funds needed to give us all the game he wants to make, not "just what he can afford to make". I think we are in good hands here. If in any doubt .. watch any of the videos again, and see all doubt removed :)

Aliasdair, I know it's all about the money, but please don't make it all about the money. KS has this extraordinary ability to get people concentrating on the numbers rather than the talent and passion behind the project and the inspiration and hope that brought you here. The money will look after itself now - remind us about the qualities of the game - that's why we are here.

Many congratulations and to thine own parrot be true!
