AdventureX 2016

Posted by Alasdair Beckett-King (Creator)

I've mentioned AdventureX in these updates before. It's the UK's only convention dedicated to narrative-driven games. It's a unique event, and we've had some fantastic guest speakers. This year it's happening in London on Nov 19-20.

In previous years, I've exhibited Nelly and hosted live choose-your-own-adventure games there. I'm now part of the AdventureX 2016 team, and we're running a Kickstarter to help the event grow:

AdventureX 2016 Kickstarter Campaign

I know many of you are developing adventure games yourselves. Please let us know if you'd like to exhibit at AdventureX:

I also know that several of you have already backed the AdventureX campaign, thanks so much!

If you're just hearing about AdventureX for the first time, there's more information here. If you get a chance to blog or tweet about this campaign, we'd really appreciate that.

Hi Brian, sorry you missed the Avatar! I agree, there's is a danger of hardcore adventurers getting a game they already own, but it was the best way we could think of for rewarding people who wanted to support the event but couldn't necessarily make it.

Darn, I did not see this in time, I would have backed the Xquisite Tier, for the Avatar picture, If it is the same quality as many of the games I would totally get it.
But not sure about the Xecutive tiers, I have a lot of games (342) already in my Steam library, and a lot of adventure games. High risk of getting one I already own. ;-) And won't know if it is for Linux, my main platform. Oh well, will see which tier it will be, wish I could also make it to the convention but that is not in my budget.

Already backed it, even though I don't live close by anymore. I recommend the event to any adventure fan, last year was great fun.
